My accuacy is low and I have a low killratio per minute and Im dying pretty often, also I rarely get more than 20 points in 1 round. Do you pro guys have tips for me? I enjoy playing sniper and as you can see in my stats. Would I get much more points if I played somthign else? I have played some medic but I manage t get mre points when playing sniper.

I also have a question about medals and ribbons, aret hey actually sueful for something? Or is it just to "complete" the game to get all of them?
Yes, u r doing kinda bad, but dont think of it that way, think of it as, in a way, u made some1 else very happy with his points

            Re: Am I doing badly?

Unless you are an experienced FPS player there's really nothing to worry about. You have only just started and every game needs getting used to.
If you don't want to hurt your stats then try acing in the single player. Single player is also advisable for getting your basic aviation skills (plane in clean sweap and chopper in Dalian).

This site is full of different guides and tips and so is http://www.secretsofbattlefield.com/.

I think you should really take you mind off your stats and just play. If you are too worried about getting killed, you most probably will be. Practice your aiming and let the others rush into heavy conflicts and stay back, this way you'll stay alive more and maybe even get some kills.

Also since you haven't played that much remap some of the keys. The parachute key for example ... "9" is very difficult to reach when needed in a hurry. But that is all in the tips, guides, manuals, whatever you might call them.

Remember, its a game ... go and have FUN!

Play a medic, join a squad and fight your heart out. Doing this early on will teach you team play and will net you points while your at it. But like others have said, don't concentrate on your stats, concentrate on playing and having fun.

We all have to start somewhere and remember that when your in game, your stats just show me you like to get into the thick of things . Dont worry so much. As the above posts suggest. enjoy the game, get into squads and enjoy.

                    Re: Am I doing badly?

I still suck at this game, but I'm getting better all the time...

The best bit of advice I got when I started was not to worry about stats, or score or any of that stuff, but to learn the maps and what the different kits do..

Find a squad of experienced players and stick with them, follow their orders and you'll learn far more that way than simply runnning around like a headless chicken on your tod..

As was pointed out, read all the tips and hints guides you can, practise offline , practise online, just remember to always try and have fun and before you know it you'll be piling on the score without even thinking about it...

                      Re: Am I doing badly?

Don't worry about the stats. Everyone has to start somewhere; you are just starting a bit lower than some others. I've seen better and worse. My own stats aren't flashy either.

What matters is: have fun. BF2 is meant to be a team game, so when you are playing be team-oriented. Join a squad, follow your squad leader's orders, and do your job: medics are to revive and heal, support is to give ammo and cover fire, snipers hang back and give high accuracy firepower for your squad, anti-tank takes out vehicles, etc.

Also, if you want to improve, then set a goal and a plan on how to achieve it. If you die too much, then set your intention to surviving: avoid all artillery, avoid spawning in enemy-infested areas, stay close to other players, never walk in the open, always sprint between cover/concealment, check your mini-map often, etc. Whenever you die, don't just twiddle your thumbs waiting for the re-spawn. Think about why you died and find out how to remove or reduce the likelihood of dying the same way.

                        Re: Am I doing badly?

Pay Special attention to what Chris Redfield said in his post. Situational awareness is not only the key to improving your own stats but it's the key to helping your team win. Learn how to play smart first and the rest will come with practice.

When I was just learning (and man was I fu**in horrible) I would go out for a smoke after every terrible round I had. One reason is because I was really stressed out about sucking ***, and the other reason was so I could run down every bad situation I put myself in that match. Once you figure out what you're doing wrong, you'll start thinking of ways to right yourself.

                        A few modest tips:

                        - Avoid the enemy - I can tell you already think I'm crazy for saying that, I'm not. Listen to me, getting in big gun battles with 20 guys is fun, but it's very random and you don't learn anything that way. Avoid the enemy and let them come to you. You are always in a better position playing defensively. TAKE THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED.

                        - Join a squad or create a squad - Joining a squad is great because you have teammates to help you with flags, revive you, supply you, power in numbers my friend. Creating a squad, you get 1 on 1 contact with the commander (the "T" button is your friend) and you follow your own orders. Never go lone wolf, even if you want to play alone create a squad for yourself, it helps wth communication between yourself and the commander.

                        - Play medic - Yeah, everyone and their grandmothers plays medic but for begginers it's especially good as it'll give you an added kick if you want to concentrate on infantry battles. Always heal yourself, always have a full clip.

                        - Use vehicles - If you suck at infantry than use a vehicle to get around. it's much safer and you'll get there faster. As an added bonus the mounted guns on utility vehicles are very powerful and useful for midrange and longerange combat situations. Use them to your advantage.

                        - Put your team before your stats - Winning is everything my friend. Evaluate how you can best help your team and then set out to do it, even if it may not be rewarding points/stats wise. Here's a tip, getting in repeated gun fights probably isn't going to make or break the game for your team, use your time WISELY.

                        Good luck rookie.

                          Re: Am I doing badly?

I think the trouble is, that you've come into the game late! Whereas, most of us will have been playing from the start, and it seem's to me that this game is really hard for new player to do well from the off, so I personally wouldn't worry about stat's (some people put their stats above game enjoyment), and the fact is, you should just enjoy the game as much as possible, and those scores will go up on their own, as you K/D will come down (mine didn't level up till about the 6000 K/D ratio, and these day's the ratio much better (for a ground-pounder)!).

A simple bit of advice, from myself about being a sniper- Don't stay in the same spot's ( I normally get a kill or 2 then move off, leaving a clay where I was), and just because your a sniper, doesn't mean you can't cap flags (just wait till the coast is clear, UAV will help you there).

Dude, don't worry about it...My advice is too play kits that have some body armour(AT/Support/Assault), or Medic at First. The kits with armour allow you to take afew more hits, and the Medic kit enables you to heal yourself/others.
I would consider this until you learn the maps/weapons/vehicles. Myself, I played the AT kit almost exclusively for the first month or so, not only because of the Armour, but I love the Missles too.

But more importantly, like others have mentioned, it's a game, so try to have fun first.

Where I highlighted in the above post, I meant to say that it would be nice to be rewarded for staying alive, as Squad Leader. It's not alot of fun/or rewarding for hanging back, or sitting in the woods so your Squad can maintain momentum IMO. I'm just comparing strategic importance, like Medics/Supports Troops who are rewarded very well for their participation. Where as, with the current situation with Spawn Cycling, there is no reward for being a good Squad Leader, other than coudos from your teammates. I won't even start on the Engie Kit

to me it seems, when viewing your stats, that your problem is most likely your aim. Take your time, don't panic even tho that dude is running towards you with his pkm. Just few accurant shots should make the trick. Don't waste your bullets by spraying em all over the place.
