I have just noticed that EA Downloader has removed all the other patches, 1.2.0 to 1.2.1 and so on.
SO it will be here sooooon.

I know you want an official source but i nearly always get the latest patch on patch day of bittorrent. We might have alot of mirrors in europe but there always hammered on patch day and the speeds slow even on sites people have just mentioned (gamershell). If holywood can embrace bittorrent as a distribution source for its media i dont understand why EA just dosnt doit that way. I always get the patch of there garanteed faster than of EA (EA speed = 50 or 60 k/Bs max bittorrent speed = 800k/Bs max for me anyway).

I agree completely. I get as much as possible of my stuff from Bitorrent (mods, custom maps, etc) and I'll almost always get super-fast download speeds so with the 1.4 patch being so popular it's be down damn quick.

It feels like being back in the Stone Age downloading large files at slow speeds from EA or Fileplanet or whatever.

like the other guy said gamershell are usually pretty good or multiplay.co.uk host the files pretty fast, filecloud, fileplanet. Ea downloader usually takes a couple of days to post theirs. theres usually somewhere u can get it at decent speeds.

I find bit torrent the best source. Last patch I got speeds of 1.8 mbyte download. I usually upload for a few hours as well as I have 1 meg upstream
but in all honesty it eats into my 22meg downstream like crazy and that affects my ping in games so I usually cut it after a couple of hours so I can test patch :)

Yeah, you don't really want to leave it running when you're playing BF2. I'll generally disconnect as soon as I've downloaded it but I always try and leave it running for a while when not playing on-line games. Makes you feel "helpful" :-)

Fileplanet blows, you have to register and download all kinds of crap before you can even download, lets not forget about the lines too.

Filefront.com and other sites are totally free and you dont have to register to download.
