I tried and tried for this badge, then just got it one day doing the c4 for a bit and then finished off with clays in the palace.

like [ht].ken said there is no difference between the SF and vanilla badge for explosives, theres only one explosives badge.

That's exactly the way I got mine. Started jihading then claywhored in the palace. I think claywhoring is the only way to get it...

Expert Explosives Badge Help!

I've tried getting my expert explosives badge but it's not working out for me. I know there's another thread with this same topic, but my question wasn't getting answered there. So, would it work to be holding your explosive and then get into armor, and then get kills while in the armor? Would that count as an explosive kill? I base this question off the fact that you can be commander, and get into, lets say an AA, and get kills using artillery and it counts toward the AA. I got my Air Defense ribbon this way. Other people say that they put claymores everywhere in karkand and on Warloard, but how do they do this? The sniper only carries two claymores and you can't lay more than two down at any given time. Then, I find it hard to get resupplied unless I die, in which that just wastes time and before I know it, the round is over....so, obviously, you can see that I've had trouble with this...your help is much appreciated.

First off, thanks for the tip with the AA Defense Badge.

Second, be spec ops, pick a spot where infantry comes through a lot, like the tin fence in Karkand, and drop one C4 on the wall next to the entrance. Then just wait there with the detonator. Once someone comes through, blow them up then plant a nother C4. Repeat process.:)

After dying about 5 times doing this, you'll get the badge. At first its frustrating but you'll get it.

Ive tried the claymore thing as well, got 29 kills like 4-5 times so I was very close, the key to using claymores is to have support and medics in your squad and work together, the good thing about claymores is my accuracy shot up from 19.8 to 22.3 in a few days, the bad thing, my k/d ratio has gone down as I have died so many more times trying to use this method

Im gonna try the spec-ops method next

find a special forces server with ff off and spam calymores in the palace on warlord.

ACTUALLY Revolution, THIS is topic that I was referring to when I said that there was another one. Unknowingly, I named my new topic the same as this one's, so, instead of creating a new thread, it just added on to this...read up and you'll see that I asked about the armor, and up until now, thanks to you, I guess, I never got an answer. And secondly, I DID search and didn't find anything about using armor to get an explosives badge.

On the server info, where it says Friendly Fire, if it has a 0, it's off and if it has a 1, it's on.

I got mine yesterday using Claymores in Karkand. Get somone who is support and can keep supplying you and just spam claymores as MEC. It's no worse than people spamming nades and with a bit of perceverence should get you you're badge. I was so surprised when the award drum roll occurred that i got killed:) Check the screenshot

I finally got the badge guys...thanks for all your help. I got a couple friends of mine to help me out. I was sniper in Karkand and had one friend be support to feed me supplies and another to be medic to keep me alive. Worked great! Thanks again!
