god i love bf2

wow this game gets better and better.

so today morning i play a few games online go out for awhile and get some lunch. turn my pc back on and am working for about 2hrs on it. then decide to open up bf2... when it just turns black and doesnt do crap. ? wtf i didnt touch ANY video setting i didnt install anything, didn uninstall anything tell me how this POS game just randomly stops working. if i ctrl alt del and go back to it i can but everything gets all screwed up and weird colors.

so i reinstalled video drivers, but that didnt work either..... and reinstalled bf2

same **** so i had to ctrl alt del again then close task manager and click to go back, then i hear the movie sound and it looks like this




so i have to click in again for it to go fullscreen

after getting in this is what it looks like always....

specs please.By the way i have a solution 1-throw your old pc ,2-sell ur ferrari,3-buy new hardware :P.

7900gt ko 500/1500 tried 84 86.xx? driver and now am using 91.xx drivers but nothing helped. tried reinstalling everything

3dmark06 runs fine, not artifacting so it aint my vid card. resolution is set 1280x1024 @ 60mhz

tried chaning resolutions in bf2 to defualt and high nothing. it just doesnt load just hangs @ blank screen after load picture.

Did u try any different 3d applications and if so does it do the same or its ok? and PSU?
DID u upgrade anything recently?

The only thing we have in common is 2gigs and A8N's, But there hasnt been a update that I have downloaded for the mobo. And there hasnt been anything lately for BF2. If two of us have the problem at the same time im willing to bet theres alot more.

it worked fine for 2 months its not my hardware. i can play other games and run an entire test of 3dmark06. its crappy *** bf2 and i havent installed anything since it happened. only i did was after uninstalling bf2 when it stopped working d/ling and running ccleaner.

Did u try the boring reinstall for bf2 and i assume u have no heat issues

Well the funny colours isnt a problem as I get that sometimes. Once you've selected a server it reverts to normal.

it was working in the morning and 3 hrs later and virtually nothing change/modified and it stops working. has to be something else not bios, bios wont affect a game. if it was working before it shoudl work w/out having to update anything.

reinstalled video drivers drive 91.33 and 84.56 none seem to make a difference. tried disabling peg link in bios also nothing. put everything to stock, nothing...

i noticed i had 1 of these
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\D during a paging operation. plus D is my dvd drive.

but after search i had a few a month ago and it didnt stop me from playing. i checked hd, ran every test possible no errors either.

i even tried makign a mini image to see if it would work, didnt change anything either.

DO NOT USE A MINI IMAGE, You run the risk of getting caught by PB. I let mine sit for a minute and it loaded.

i think i know what it is. i disabled my onboard lan and guess what it loaded fine. so im assuming its somethign to do w/ either punkbuster or its trying to connect to something

even during the black screen if i unplug the cable in 4seconds it loads up the logon screen...

so yea if u let it sit there with a black screen for 1min it loads, but why? whats it doing? it use to load in 5 seconds? any ideas im gonna see if i manually update punkbuster
