ok, right for those happy base and spawn campers, do us all a favour and put a message up on the BF2 loading screan , instead of welcome to yada yada, put welcome, we allow base and spawn camping , so you were warned and if you dont like that go elsewhere. lol . We will see how often your server fills up then will we. And you will only get the spawn campers .

If i seen that on the loading screan , i would just esc and cancel. So save us the bother in giving you that few extra points. Warn us.

The solution to baseraping is to make air-to-ground kills worth half the points, and air-to-air worth double.

There's a reason pilots get the top scores every round, and it's not because they're necessarily better at the game than everyone else.

To the author - make man-babies with me. I <3 ur post.

Last night, on the [IHOP] server some nub started carrying on "those STK guys sure can hop". There were 3 of us, and I'm the only one who really uses his jump key (dates back to my time with UT99 / etc). So I get into it wtih this person, who obviously couldn't snipe me, or kill me with his APC, or w/e it was. During our ensuing arguement he mentioned the server had a "no bunny hoping rule". LOL. No rule stated on the join screen. No admin gave me any grief over it.... I beat him by 30+ points on Sharqi and he left the next side. Sad.

My point. Its a game, sure, but its a game that is based off of WAR. Basketball games have fouls when you use excessive force, Madden 07 hands out penalties when you rough the QB. This is WAR. There is no Geneva Convention for this game folks.

I am so tired of watching clans micro-manage the game with rules like "no baseraping" "no hoping" no this, no that, no shooting your enemies untill you type "hey, I'm going to fire now, ok?". Instead of creating rules to compensate for your inadequicies, try learning how to defeat these problems. Hoping to evade fire means that I might live a bit longer, which, at last time I checked, was helpful to my score and that of my teams.

And while I'm on clans. How many of you guys with "no baserape" rules actually play on ladders or in leagues??? You do realize the disservice you're doing to your team by altering the gameplay in a pub environment to be COMPLETELY different than that of match play?? I can't tell you how many times I've been TV'd on the helo pad waiting for our chopper 'cause the other helo got off the shot 1st. Once he ran out or we put some AA on him we were able to get off the ground and hopefully do the same to him. And since I prefer to do my learning outside of the competitive environment, we have pubs and scrims to practice dishing out baserape, and to practice dealing with it. Stop the f'ing crying and just play the game as it was designed.

I hate the start of USMC on Jalalabad IO, but I'll be damn if I'd think to "rule my way out of it" - instead, we come up with a way around it and usually can get inside the map and win the side.

IHOP became yet another server I won't visit anymore. Its why servers like =TAW= 's 5+ servers and ours are one's I'll be sticking to. The only rule TAW states is "commanders not acting in the best interest of their team will be warned".
