Wake Island is totally ruined by the air kiddies.

The best map made for the BF series games and it was
totally screwed by the chopper and bomb spam.

Of course, this applies to ALL the other maps too, there is so
little skill in the air vehicles. I miss getting killed by actual skill
rather than some mach 1 jet that I have no defense against.
And the choppers are just so gay its pathetic. A direct hit from
a tank and all they do is smoke a little, how gay is that. Choppers
spinning around the flags capping them from the air, and the gunner
spamming the machine gun at anything that moves.. GAY.

And then to make matters worse, all the chopper and jet kiddies
actually think that their 10/1 kill.death ratio means something
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ha.

n00b i guess u can't pilot them so u just flame :laugh:
yes jets take no skil but it takes skill to pilot/co a chopper properly, thats why there are 2v2 chopeper matches but no jetvjet matches.

Let me guess. You're one of those idiots who sits in the boats and directly on popular vehicle spawns the entire map? Of course you are. You're not totally at fault though assuming you're on the USMC team.

I don't blame people like you for your opinions though and I don't expect such a dim mind to be able to understand complex game balance. Bottom line is the only reason Wake 2007 and similar maps turn in to rapefests is the J-10. The J-10 is an unbeatable air superiority fight and as a result it can spend the entire map in the air and killing uncontested.

However if you were to balance air to air missiles so that the F-35B has an equal chance of downing the J-10 then you experience a trickle down effect starting from the top of the food chain and moving on downwards. No more invincible J-10/ultra-vulnerable F-35B would bring a much better balance to those maps.

As far as the IO mode all I can say is have fun playing "easy mode". I'm sorry the regular game is too hard for you. Now if only DICE had the sense to make stat padders mode unranked then nobody would play it. Why bother playing easy stats mode if you don't get stats afterall.. right?

it would be nice if there was a better way to communicate with the pilots w/o being in their squads. that way u can give htem something to do like...give air support instead of just going around and bombing bases..cuz there have been times when i was in a jet..and i felt like i was totally out of the battle since i coudlnt use radio commands or hear anyone

SLR, if you had any idea how much skill it takes to fly and gun an attack helicopter properly on any map, you wouldn't be making these typical "I'm a ground-pounder only" comments: what I do helps you fellas on the ground but for some reason, if you're on the receiving end, I'm an air noob.

air kiddies? I dont kno about that. I just get in an F-35 and easily shoot there non-pressing-X ways. Or, i just wait until there low amount of flying skills makes them crash into the ocean.

Ah yes damn those snipers and their impunity to ground units and carpet bombing ways.

But gimme a break on how choppers and jets are equal to ground units, it is not much harder to fly than it is to do anything on the ground, the learning curve is not that sharp.
I took maybe 10 minutes to learn to fly the copter, and maybe 20 learning to learn the aircraft. The weapons are all basically one hit kill and are really not that hard to aim, the hardest weapon to kill with is probably the TV missile and once you learn how to properly guide the thing anyone can do it pretty simply. I imagine everyone is different but I learned to do these things pretty quickly and dont expect it should have taken you people that much longer. Your all making a mountain out of a mole hill, I hope to see them nerfing all the aircrafts back to 1.2 and I would still rape with at least a 5-1 score.
