Changing Your Localization Files

Thought i would post this ,some people might not be aware of this, i had loads of fun using it ,changed my death message to "you ****ed ---" :laugh:

check it out...im a bit of a master with it now so any questions let me know.

Reminds me of little billy and posting, you don't want all the kids laughing at you right? No you don't..

Where did SaladFork's Guide on this go.. Did he requested to remove it? Or did you guys removed it since he was banned..

Well I already changed my localization files.. But I think SaladFork's was better..

I beleive its against TOS and ROE to change colors and anything in the hud.

acutally changing localizations was first posted on this forum. do a search for saladfork and ringmaster. they have some pretty indepth changes that look great. it used to be a sticky here but I guess they needed room for more padding stickys. :|:

Yeah I said that in the first place Signa do you know why they banned SaladFork who made that awesome Localization File Tutorial? And removed it from the sticky's? I doubt you'll know more than me but I find it strange.. It wasn't against the ROE since you don't get any advantage well if seeing which weapon teamkilled you is an advantage over your opponents then so be it..

I dont really give a flying **** if I cant change the teamkill part in my localization files due to ROE. I have had it like that for ages and Im not going back. Its awesome.

I'm wondering, if anyone were to take a PB Screenshot of someone with a modified localization.. Will you reset his stats? :laugh:

3.1.1 Players may not change (hack) any core games files or effectively change game settings by employing external programs or cheats for the purposes of giving themselves an unfair advantage over other players. This would include but not limited to:

(a) *** and other 3rd party software.

(b) Modification of weapons code, aka Tank turrets exploit.

(c) CVAR hacks which would make players appear Neon

(d) CVAR hacks that let players see thru walls or buildings

(e) Mini-Map hack so all players are visible

(f) Modification of Player Names which would alter their size or colors.

Section 3.1.1.F, is talking about the whole business of putting code into the beginning of your name, when you log into or create an account.

It doesn't say anything about changing the weapon names on an individual's computer.

Doing what section 3.1.1.F disapproves of affects everyone, however, editing the localization files only affects the user that editted it.

you can edit like the weapon names, but you just cant change colors and sizes, thats all.
