Joint Task Force [PC]
Hey, just thought I'd help spread the word of this great RTS. If you are sick of the same old RTS unrealistic play of building up factories and have tanks roll out one after another, or have infantry pour out of a barracks then fret no more!
Joint Task Force is set in the very near future where an elite task force is assembled to deal with terrorism, Dictators, and various other problems around the world. There are 20+ missions in Joint Task Force that are divided up into 5 campaigns. You can fight in Iraq, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Columbia, and Somalia.
In Joint Task Force you get tanks and heavy armored vehicles by capturing airfields and having various heavy lift aircraft fly in and unload your order. How do you get infantry? They repel down within a certain radius of your "Hero" as it is called (Sounds like an arcady name, but it is really just the CO on the battlefield as he can be killed just as easily as other infantry) from Blackhawks.
There is no base building at all, instead of harvesting materials you start out with a certain number of funds and you order vehicles/infantry with that. You gain more funds if you complete mission objectives and complete side objectives (Such as bringing aid to refuges, or escorting civilians or Red Cross trucks out of the combat zone etc.), and you loose money if you kill civilians (Yes, there are lots of civilians roaming the streets!) or destroy civilian buildings while the embedded reporter is filming.
There is so much more to Joint Task Force than I have time to say, so if you are at all intrested in this game defiantly be sure to check out their forums and click on some of the following links to get some more info about it.
