I hear all these people who say enginers are useless and that claymores are over powered. But what no one seems to know is enginers can wrench claymores. i tried this out today and it works you have to be prone and move up to is slowly or else the claymore will go off.

Re: Enginers CAN remove Claymomres
This is really old news. I've been removing clays for quite some time now. See, it's much easier for someone to complain than to actually just play and have fun.

Re: Enginers CAN remove Claymomres
I've been thinking for sometime about an idea I think can improve snipers or engineers.
I think that snipers or engineers, one or the other or both, whatever the majority prefers, should be immune to claymore. In other words be able to run over claymores without detonating it.

Re: Enginers CAN remove Claymomres
I have only had the opportunity to do this once.
Then when I stood up, the defused claymore killed me anyway.
Personally I think you should be able to prone past claymores. Would help engineers get close enough to defuse and would still be devilishly effective when placed strategically (Round a corner >.> )

Re: Enginers CAN remove Claymomres
People whom are serious about the game, like the game, enjoy the game, and play the game regularly know this, and you can wrench mines away as well.
I gave up on the whiner claymore crowd a LONG LONG time ago....people that sit at thier keyboards and scream like little whores, instead of trying to figure out some solution never amaze me.

Re: Enginers CAN remove Claymomres
claymores have the 180 degree sensor and a mine you just roll over. the point is that in a heavily clayed area, you are pretty much stuck even with that ability. on top of that, why should the other six classes be stuck, it seriously screws up the gameflow. you dont spawn as a tank you spawn as a soldier. tanks are a battlefield asset and haveing an explosive "block" thier passage makes sence. soldiers arent battlefield assets and claymores are supposed to be booby traps.
its all very simple, claymores need to be destructable, or use an alternate triggering method like a clacker.
this is a bad idea imo. it does indeed promote claywhoring.Originally posted by poisonsoulI think that snipers or engineers, one or the other or both, whatever the majority prefers, should be immune to claymore. In other words be able to run over claymores without detonating it.

Aproach at 45% angle prone should be safe. We do this all the time in the 21CW tourny I play in.

ya engi's can remove em on that very odd occasion that you can approach them from the back witch is pretty much never unless the sniper that placed the claymore is a complete newb wrangler

Sometimes when I'm going up a ladder and I see a clay I have a SM spawn me and go up first.

It is much easier to have someone from your squad go up and run into them then revive them (unless they can't be revived, then they just spawn on you again)

Re: Enginers CAN remove Claymomres
thats not how the game should run, snipers shouldnt get gaurenteed kills by blocking a passage (sometimes theres no other way to go and you are stuck) the claymore should be a booby trap.Originally posted by BreitheamhIt is much easier to have someone from your squad go up and run into them then revive them (unless they can't be revived, then they just spawn on you again)
