amenOriginally posted by TurnipBut AT mines are the reason why its like this I think, and making them destructible is a small price to pay to fix infantry combat.
how about giving all the kits 2 grenades except assault? i dont like the idea of not being able to replenish my weapons.Originally posted by TurnipThen they just need to work on the nade spamming and were good, whose up for supply bags not replenishing nades?Leave a comment:

They are still effective with FF on, you just need to make sure you are out in a field someplace, or in the enemies base. yeah this really helps you when the mine is at the top of a ladder, or you don't play engineer. bring me back to the good 'ole days where a grenade or tank shell would destroy claymores.Leave a comment:

Re: Enginers CAN remove Claymomres
how bout destructable claymores instead, nobody should be immune from stuff just because they are a specific kit, thats just dumb.Originally posted by MistenTHHow do you disarm claymores on top of a ladder ... don't stand a chance. Yes for claymore-immune engineers!
ppl still play that? doesnt it crash like every game?Originally posted by Jay_CI know this is completely off-topic but do you play stronghold 2 by any chance wolfgang?Leave a comment:

I know this is completely off-topic but do you play stronghold 2 by any chance wolfgang? I have played against you several times in this (unless its a guy with the same name) Just wondering...Originally posted by Wolfgang AbenteuerExactly. It shouldn't require a whole squad to deal with one sniper who put a claymore in the middle of a stairwell that both teams use. For Sharqi, you can seal off the TV station flag with just two claymores, and if they want to get up there, unless they feel like hovercapping it in the heli, someone has to die. If it were a support soldier prone at the top of the stairs and he hosed you down with an LMG that would be different for many reasons, but to have a sniper just 'fire and forget' two claymores and therefore completely deny access to a flag is ridiculous. No way around it, no way to destroy it, so someone has to set it off or you can't get the flag. If it were a Spec Ops booby trapping a flag with C4, it would be totally different because not only would he have to pay attention to the flag going white, but he would have to still be alive to set them off. The only way to prevent the claymore from killing you is to find and kill the sniper, wait 30 seconds for the clays to disappear, and kill him again after he respawns (twice) to prevent him from either going back and picking up his old kit (so the clays don't disappear) or dropping new ones in the same place, because he can just march into the same area you are denied with impunity. I don't mind so much that the sniper gets a free cheap kill as much as I do how much it disrupts the flow and balance of the infantry game.
Claymores should be personal defense assets to cover a sniper's *** when he's sniping, not something to just toss about a friendly flag knowing that you can't possibly get a TK from it. FF-off clays are just another example of BF2 getting dumbed down. :hmm:

if theres no reward, people wont do it.
exactly, sometimes you simply cannot disarm them.Originally posted by BlackOps_BlackTo defeat a engineer from defusing my claymores I stick them in a corner so there is no way a engineer can get to them.Leave a comment:

It's like handing out awards and points for things you should already be doing...Makes no sense and it's from a standpoint that lacks all things related to teamwork.Originally posted by roger smithcorrectt me if inm wrong, but doesnt he want points for disarming?Leave a comment:

exactly, if you its gonna have that sensor, we shoulod be able to shoot it to detonate it, simple as that.Leave a comment:

The most annoying thing about claymores is that they have some auto-detect FF device. I only play on FF enabled servers for this reason, the snipers feel a lot more obligated to watch their placement if they dont want a -4. The snipers that run into a full squad of enemies and drop the claymore before getting riddled with 50 rounds make me ESPECIALLY mad, because they know that once only ONE person in that squad moves forwards half an inch, they get six kills. A claymore IRL has to be detonated by a trip wire or a detonator. This is how it should work, claymores should take about 20 seconds to set up, stringing the trip wire from wall to wall. Plus anyone who trips the wire gets the crap blown out of them, not just enemies.Leave a comment:

Re: Enginers CAN remove Claymomres
Just wait until infantry only. You'll feel like a right whoreOriginally posted by SorrenartPersonally I think if engineers wrench up a clay they should get to re-lay it somewhere else.
Fair game IMO.
That said claymores are suuuuch easy kills, I almost feel bad when I put them down.
