And he should.. If you had such a rank and not just by playing and playing since SERIALBUTCHER is a very good player that can earn points fast.. Why don't you play on servers with good players than SERIALBUTCHER like on n1ce.it or on Elunex those are unranked servers with quite good players but if you are on those dolphin diving is a must to be honest..

I could make wide sweeping generalizations about "newbies", but that wouldn't solve anything, but I can tell you this, once you wear those stars, & you have earned all the badges, & medals you don't need points, you can just have fun, & just play the game

I love how all these clowns are getting offended by your suggestion. Jeez people, the thread isn't called "how much better are officers over lower ranks?", it's simply a good idea that many people above 60K would love to see happen. You can defend your lower ranks by saying things like "all the good players I've come across were privates" or "me and my squad of sergeants walk all over colonels"... please people, 8 times out of 10 a team of higher ranking players will crush a team of non-coms or lower ranks...and that is a fact. Just deal with it already, no need to post your ideas in this thread, we've heard all of your sob stories already. The only way to get better is to keep playing, so get your arses off here, rank up, and maybe we'll see you in an officers only game sometime in the future!

Are you blind?? The whole premise of this thread is that High Ranked players are better than those without the ranks. There are very many fine players at this game who dont have the 1600+ hrs the op has and therefore doesnt have the rank required to play in his fantasy world.

Look at his stats, he's an average player who has 1600+hrs and 1900+ rnds on Karkand. With less than 1000 on all other maps combined, not a good player but a point whore. 30-40% of his score is from Tank whoring and 70-80% is from just the one map.

Maybe my idea of a good player is different than yours but thats the way it goes.

Uh well 1000 of his 1600 Hours are not from Karkand.. I don't know what your saying with " 70-80% is just from one map".. not even 50 % is from one map.

Maybe your calculations were wrong but the Assault Rifle K/D and other vehicle K/D's aren't amazing.. But I still think he can be a good player not looking at stats..

As an engi he's pretty good, but any diver with a PKM is good. Can you say Tank whore? This is where the majority of his points came from. To say otherwise is ignorant. So maybe not 50% but take away the Karkand and you have an average player at best. Take away the tank whoring and you have not such an average player. Not real hard to decipher.

Really though the point isnt whether he's a good player, matter of fact Im sure he is a fine player.(After 1600hrs he outta be) Its more about his arrogance and ego at what is essentially point whoring tactics. His attitude toward other players without these stats is abhorable. In my mind, that makes him a lousy player.

First off, the only premise this thread has, is to get a game going where the participants would all be players of 60K points or more. It's not a situation where one team is going to be full of officers and the other full of privates/sgt's.

Secondly, everything you've said is repeated so often it's lost any meaning or original thought it may have had. Spoken like a true noob, why is it that the only time people say something similiar to what you've said they have less than 50K? It's because they simply haven't played this game long enough to have any clue to what they're talking about.

Thirdly, no, rank doesn't mean one player is better than another... what it does count for, if NOTHING else, is experience.

Lastly, when I made the 8 out of 10 reference, I'm not talking about a single officer going up against a team full of privates/sgt's. I'm talking about one team FULL of officers while the other is full of lower ranking players.... you can deny it all you want, this is how it works, perhaps if you had some actual knowledge or experience with this game, you'd know that.

EDIT: Now you're going to rag on the guy because he's a "tank whore". Please buddy, this is BATTLEFIELD 2, do you know why this game is so popular? It's because of the vehicles. Vehicles are what MADE the Battlefield series, so just because you are crap in them don't take it out on people who actually have used them to their advantage.

I have to agree here. Rank just means the person has played the game long enough to get the points for the rank. Even less-skilled players will one day make General.... every dog has their day.

But for the most part, experience can be tied directly to skill, especially in BF2. I look at myself as prime example of this. Although I still suck at the game, I suck less now as a Gunnery Sergeant than when I was Private.

Officers = bunnyhoping, TKing for vehcile, medicwhores, selfish pricks who don't care about teamwork.
