2142 will have alot of flaws i think the only reason they are releasing it now is they want to beat the moding comunity so that they wont lose money, idd rather get a game from people who do what they do because they want to not because they want money.

Get PoE2 it will be much better then 2142.

I am very interested in BF2142. I will certainly play the demo and, if I like it, will probaby switch over. I like fresh things and a change from BF2 would be nice.

However, what is up with all the claims that only kiddies, cheaters and idiots will switch over. Frankly, I think anyone who makes such a comment is very childish themselves.

That's great that you want to play a "realistic" game like (lol) BF2, but just because other people like a wide variety of games does not make them "idiots"

I'm looking forward to 2142 because of all the new toys and because the gameplay of BF2 matches the setting of 2142 IMO.

yeah I'm gonna get it... everytime people make threads like with BF:V people said no way am I gonna get BF2. But looks like almost everyone got it, and I'm sure everyone is gonna get 2142.

I'm not going anywhere near 2142 untill dice fixes their first game. Besides, it will probably just be like another one of those ****ty booster packs, except for $50.

I don't know I don't know how BF2142 will be I just saw some vidoes but they don't really show me the First person view etc. and some more depth in gameplay would be nice. But I think I'll get Quakewars since I think it will have more and better support for clans..

But I'll see which game will be the best. Untill then I won't say anything about those two or be a fanboy..

I will definitly be giving 2142 a miss. For all it's flaws, bugs and glitches(most caused by the patches) I still love BF2. I really wouldn't have enough time to play both games.

If you think it's bad having a tank spawn camp you on karkand, wait for the bad áss mechs in 2142.

I'm going to try the demo first, and if I dont like it I'm sticking with BF2. Even if I do like 2142, I'm probably going to stick with BF2. The glitches and bugs are annoying but when all is said and done, this game is still much better then any other I've played. Its just good wholesome virtual combat fun.

Who says what you're saying counts for all of us? I am not planning to buy this game I wasn't even planning on buying Battlefield 2 it just that the demo was cool and it could run on my rig.. Else I wouldn't have bought it..

I'm not getting 2142, it's not my thing, all this futuristic stuff does not do it for me.

I'm just glad all the kids and idiots will be more interested in 2142 so they will leave BF2 for 2142, fingers crossed! :)

Ya know, at first i was like, "thats exactly how i feel" but after reading the other post, and thinking things over, i may just get 2142, for a couple of reasons...

1. The simple fact that its something new, i.e. new maps, weps, options, visuals etc. etc.

2. Even though its set in the future, and not modern combat, in all likelyhood, modern combat tactics will still be the order of the day, just because thats the way it is........ sure there will be adjustments, but overall I feel the tactics employed will be similar to the ones used in BF2.

3. It will be ranked which means u have something to work toward, just like in BF2. Of course that means the real players such as myself who strive to play games using teamwork will have to put up with the gloryhounds, and statpadding @ssh0les, but most of us have been playing Bf2 for awhile now, and should be used to that crap anyhow. :hmm:

I'm with you on this one daliup, I like my realistic games.

Once the kids and the cheats go we'll be able to play a proper game.

Hate futuristic crap. They should have just improved BF2 to a new level.

I may play the demo to see what BF2142 is like but I dout I'll be buying it. I'm not into the futuristic look as others have mentioned.

Now only if they had sharks with fricking laser beams on their heads.
