Yeah, lets bust everyone who smokes weed but not go after the dealers, right? Cause we make money off them. Same ol' story time and time again. And people wonder why I'm so defiant.

Seriously how much money does EA have? Millions? Billions?

Just kill the servers who run k/p servers if thats the case, then you won't get 100s of pissed off bf2 players who can't play because you banned them. You effectively lose business imo if you wipe the players, instead of the server owners/leasers.

EA seems to be way more concerned with stat padding than the quality of bf2 at its current state. Yet stat padders do not fear EA at all and EA has not done much to stop them. So waht is EA doing? Nothing, everything is money and 2142.

KP servers are a source of money for EA and hence will not be shut down. I have NEVER seen anyone get their stats reset for playing on one either.

I still don't see why "High Point" servers are considered illegal. You're still playing the game how it's meant to be played, just with fewer people on larger maps. Not everyone can afford 64 slots and not all connections can handle 64 players. With that logic, a server with 44 player slots couldn't host a 64-player game, but it would have too many for a 32-player game.

Big maps on small slot size servers, is not the definition of "High Point" servers. In reality these servers should be called "Low SPM" (Score Per Minute) because that is what happens. The play is slower, but this can be enjoying at times.

1.4 Maps

1.4.1 Custom maps are never permitted on ranked servers, although we do permit map sizes to be defined independently of maximum players.

High Point servers are those that restrict flag capping, such as in Karkand where the rule would be (for example) to allow US to cap the Hotel flag and other flags, but MEC is not allowed to take them back. This then allows the game to run far longer then normal because, there will then be, (pause for effect) no ticket bleed.

However there was a message posted here from Colin about High point servers. I believe those server owners that wish to run large maps on small servers, should put a time limit on the round. Then all players end of round score would end about normal, if they where to play a matched slot/map size. 45 to 60 minute limit IMO seems about right.

To a certain point this falls to a players own awareness. At this point most players recognize that if they are in a server where most players have a 160+ point score then its likely they should not stay on that server.

But to solve all this, why hasn't EA coded a 60 minute time limit into all ranked servers? Problem would then be solved. A full 64/64 round rarely lasts longer then 30 minutes unless there is only 5 or 6 on each side.

Honestly,I think the point system got played out.I mean,ok you move higher in the ranking system,but,other than that,what?You get a new gun?Wooohoo!Well,like I said,most people arent playing for points anymore,I am not.I think once more mods come out,I think people will start moving away from point based ranked servers,and start playing the mods.EA made a great game,even with the bugs and glitches,ctds....It is still a very good game,and once the bugs are completely fixed,yes completely fixed,the game will be much better.

1. Customer support will strip the stats from those caught on the server at the time of discovery and anyone sharing a clan tag with the offenders that seem to have any anomalous stats.

I'm sorry but that is total bulls***. No wait, I'm not sorry. I know that comes from EA, not MyIS/BFROE, but EA is already way too indiscriminate about who they reset and when and why. Now they have a blanket statement which entitles them to reset an entire clan just because they feel like it and they think they see anomalies in a couple of peoples' stats? At the very least, they need rock-solid proof for each and every individual they reset.

Glad to see EA is paying attention to their unimportant witchhunt instead of fixing the stability issues and bugs that are plauging this game.

I think that you need to be given a warning (one warning and only one) before you get reset. Ive been on servers that had everything in a language that I didnt speak and I only found that it was a K&P server after I got in there. Of course I left quickly but had I been caught in there I would have been reset and thats fair?
Any way, EA/Dice have issues with some of the servers and bugs in the game. Im just glad to see that they are fixing something. You do have to start some where you know. Keep up the good work guys. . . . . . .Red

I already know of 2 clans in Australia that have there own servers and they are abusing there rights. One clan was writing obscene messages on the screen and calling this guy a hacker and when he said piss off they said no obscene language your banned. The other clan also team kills you if you beat them to the vehicle. Also I think they are high point servers as well.
