its not a hack. just like i can throw c4 10 feet and some people cant. alls you got to do it when you jump you push fire at the same time and you can fire. i have done it 3 times last night.

AT jumping and shooting OVER fences?
last week saw 1 guy doing it
now = 5-10 per game

thought we could not shoot/trigger when "jumped"

maybe there is a box behind that fence?

you can still be in the air and shoot you just cant "jump while shooting", if you are in the air you can still fire shortly after you start falling towards the ground...if you time it right you can still fire while airborn

I've encountered a handful of people doing this. They all die the same but if they're smart it does make them much more difficult to kill.

It's accomplished the same way C4 throwing is accomplished - by use of a macro. The macro can of course hit keystrokes far faster than is possible by hand (down to 30-40ms delay inbetween which is the fastest BF2 accepts if I'm not mistaken). The macro fires and then immediately hits jump right after. The end result is a shot being fired off in midair because while the game code prevents a player from firing in the air it doesn't prevent them from firing and then jumping in to the air immediately after.

Actually, this was the only reason I did not like the patch that made it so you could not jump and fire. I do not care about bunny hopping one way or another, but the inability to jump, fire the AT rocket over a wall, land and guide the rocket into a tank/apc is frustrating. It took me a while to get the hang of it and it is not that easy since you have to guide by memory (because I cannot see through walls).

The patch (I forgot which one) that took away jump/fire was clearly not intended to limit AT guys from firing over walls. However, this is not the first (and I am sure not the last) unexpected result from a DICE/EA patch.

it seems as perhaps the answer is:
it be a macro that allows shoot/jump
I can GURANTEE you , they were shooting at the apex of their jump
and near impossible to shoot back (kill) as they would immediately drop down behind the wall

and as been so often discussed here,
macros to do this actions(s) are cheats
and users should be banned and wiped

I've seen lots of people shoot while jumping or C4 chuck or dolphin dive. I don't know how they do it but there must be a hack or exploit for it.

It's all about the timing when you jump/shoot. Macros are NOT needed, but I imagine they'd be quite helpful.
As for shooting while diving, just animation delay in my experience. They're already on the ground and shooting while it appears to you they're in the air. (or whatever the situation is)

lol @ everyone thinking you need macros, it's just timing. I can throw C4/ jump AT/jump noob tube without screwing it up about 95%, I'd imagine if i practiced it enough i could do it everytime. I love the mentality of the people here, if someone does something they can't do then it has to be macros.

Also FYI this is still possible in 1.4 Beta 2, the only difference is C4 got heavier so you can't throw it as far. However it's still possible to throw over fences.

FFS, i wish that everytime something weird happened that people didn't blame it on macros. AFAIK, there's only one effective use for a macro and that's an autoclicker for TVGM's. Ever thought the people involved can press more buttons than you due to skill/co-ordination?

lmfao.. You don't know huh.. Well most people don't even use a G15 for Dolphin Diving it can be done by normal human beings.. Not everything what looks suspicisous is a macro/gitch/hack.
