AT jumping and shooting OVER fences?
last week saw 1 guy doing it
now = 5-10 per game
thought we could not shoot/trigger when "jumped"

Shooting then jumping? Maybe a delay in the SRAW/ERYX shot?
I would test it if I could, but I can't so I won't. Well, maybe later.
:edit: I now realize the error of my ways... Did you mean shooting the SRAW/ERYX, or guns? If guns, then I have no idea.Comment

That's what I was thinking. After all, the reintroduction of C4 chuckling is only accomplished by essentially tricking the engine into letting you fire while in the air, so why wouldn't the same convoluted series of keypresses work for other weapons as well? <shrug>Originally posted by ScintoComment

to clarify my OP
these guys can jump and SHOOT the AT rocket
OVER A FENCE
I was MEC armor in Karkand
parked, aiming south, on the east side of the hotel, looking up at the East Arty Spawn Bldg
the fence in question would be the 1st fence the US troops would run into as they ran down the hill from their 1st arty spawn
as I said - saw this only once a few days ago
thought maybe some guy was standing on a supply crate or jeep
then saw 5 guys doing it at once
later that game. saw several doing from behind small berms
they were not prone/stand/shoot
I could actully see them 'hopping into the air and shooting at the TOP of thier hop'
do not use fraps
will try for SS next time I see this
was on straferight karkand only

Didn't several people verify a while ago that you can still jump/fire if you are zoomed (right-clicked)? (I keep forgetting to test this in the heat of battle)
If that's the case then wouldn't that be what's happening here?Comment

No it wasn't. You could actually jump and shoot in this game, just like every other FPS. That is until the pubbers cried about jumping and shooting because it wasn't a realistic military tactic or whatever B.S. excuse they used.Originally posted by FFOLKES

You can't shoot while in the air. I've just tested this in 1.4 beta 2.
But you can shoot first and immediately jump after.
The rocket seems to get out of your body in the air, not where you originally were.

Are you sure they weren't standing on top of that car or pipes, and they were really crouch/stand/shoot/crouch..... or prone/stand/shoot/prone... and it gave you the impression of them jumping and shooting?Comment

I've done it twice, only did it by mistake as death was apon me (i.e I was pressing all keys/buttons at the same time lol - dunno what combo of keys, i'm sure zoom has something to do with it). I remember the Eryx as the last time, you really think wtf because your not supposed to be able to do it.Comment
