Im slowly converting..

I’m slowly converting from being a ground pounder to a plane whore. I never really liked the planes, mainly due to the smacktards who camp in front while you take off. When you eventually do get in the air I couldn’t hit anything!

But it seems to have changed now and I am enjoying myself getting scores of 40 - 0, its fun to swoop down low into an arty strike to see bodies flying off in every direction.

It's a rush to dogfight with other jets, I am nowhere near a good pilot but I thought I should make this thread for some reason. I am having fun exploring the other aspects of the game, plus I am sick of being bunny hopped to death/arty'd every time I spawn :)

The only down side is the amount of morons who TK for the planes, I was M95'd out of the plane before 3 times in a row BY THE COMMANDER!

Nice post, I couldnt agree more. I`ve recently done the same thing, and it`s definately a chore to find a server where everyone plays nice when it comes to sharing.

I kind of feel sorry for the poor suckers I am bombing/dog fighting. I’m not brave enough yet to jump into a F35 on Wake, when I am flying the J10 I am more afraid of UAV's/Trees than enemy AA missiles!

I have games where I get 40 - 0 and others where I get 1 - 6 (Yes in a J10!) I always clip a tree or I get TK'd a million times before I can eventually get off the runway!

I might have to try out the big MiG on Oman with 5 bombs :P

as much as I love to share at the beginning one thing I hate is to spawn at the gas station (Karkand) and wait for my apc that ive had all ruond and have een engy the whole time and then have to go kill some roaming asset hunting spec ops or something and then return to find some assh*le support or sniper guy took my apc and is driving off, and, just to put the cherry on top of all of that, when I ask for a ride, he doesnt even stop and come back...

Ouch. I hear ya, I requested a vehicle drop today, COmmander obliged. SOme guy on my team(squadless, definately a "team player") takes it and speeds off, I ask for a ride, he keeps driving, so I take a few potshots at the bumper, to make him aware of the situation. He stops. I run up, he jumps out and kills me with his shotty. Than gets mad when I punished him. Some peoples kids.

Im not going back to planes till they fix the J10

its so hard to take it down with the F35

Im flying the chopper and doing some infantry again, Im starting to like karkand again

get a fast pc and you can avoid all the fags that try tking or blocking, by spawning 5mins before they do :p
although for the 2nd round you cant do that, but you can then go sniping instead.

^True, I get in the server like after its started, and people are already in the air with jets and moving to the first flag.

Really im not in a Jet all of the time but I like flying them, but I don't constantly do the same thing on the same map.

Yesterday I went in Warlord played in the Tank, went in Ghost town which was the next round, played as Commander, played in Devils Pearch as infantry. Played Operation Smoke Screen in the Eurofighter which is a dodgy plane to use and dogfights aren't that fun in it as other Jets. Next played some Gulf of Oman in the MIG then the Chopper.

Even though Jet whoring is lots of points, I like to play infantry and im Getting a lot better with certain weapons, I mean my stats for weapons sucked in the beggining, then I just started using vehicles, now im playing a variation, so all-round-player.

you never know when a tree or UAV will appear out of thing air

I hate the map with the invisable wall. I too am a recnet convert to jets and helis'.

I just bought a joystick. I am now a jet fiend!!!!

I have always been the expert heli pilot, but you cant fly a heli very long when a good jet is in the air.

If there's anyone who thinks the time spent in a jet vs. any other vehicle doesn't have a greater timespent/affectiveness ratio, then they should read this thread. Oh they are reading this thread

I'm happy for all of you.

But don't you think it' sort of odd that you can buy a joystick and only after a few hours be more afraid of hitting a UAV then anything ground troops can throw at you?

I'm not suggesting jets shouldn't be the biggest dog on the block. They should be. I would just like it to be a little more difficult to get to the point where you can dominate ground troops. Personally I think it would make for a better game.

It's not the power of the jets that concerns me, it's their ease of use. "Drives like a car"?

In some ways I'm glad pilots are getting TKd at airfeilds and C4ing jets that they couldn't get. Could you imagine how full the skys would be if it were an orderly process as to who gets the damn things?
