Actually, it does tip the scales quite a bit when it comes to capping flags. When you roll up to a flag with a squad of 5 guys, and a P-90 takes all of you out in 10 seconds from up on a crane, that's just lame.

I've never seen anything like what your describing. Truth be known I've never seen anything that couldn't be considered a lucky shot, or just some good skills. No one's killed me enough times in a row, even when I do get down and dirty in city maps where hacks have their most advantage. There are some good players , some who use everything available to them (border line exploit or not), and get some very impressive K/D's. But I've seen nothing like what your describing.

On a strategy note:

Just what the hell is the SL doing with the rest of the squad during a flag cap anyway? If I have 4 guys, I don't go near the flag till it's white and almost back to the top.

I've been killed a lot lately by one shot from AK-101's. I don't think it's hacking, i just think the dudes got lucky bullets hitting my head or something.

I have something funny to tell though...

I was messing around one day, and i took out my silenced pistol and aimed it into the distance and only shot ONE BULLET, and two seconds later all i see is some enemy dying! One lucky bullet to the head! He was a great distance away too!

I have noticed more one shot deaths this week than many other weeks.

It is sad that people, and clans want to ruin a decent game with hacking.

Will they not learn that it ruined CS. Or are they to stupid to realize this.

We need a thread to dicredit the cheaters for what they are.


At least in CS you could watch and see them cheat. It appears PB is just another joke program the tards work around.

What truely amaze's me is they are to stupid to dial away from head shots.

This game was coded with a cone of fire for the weapons. Meaning that the bullets come out in a random pattern to simulate recoil. So headshots are random, get over it. I've pubbed and competed in this game quite a bit, and I've maybe seen 1 or 2 people that I would suspect of using hacks. Deal with getting owned and quit crying hacks.

I've seen several hackers on ranked PB servers. I've seen their aimbots pull off some insane shots. Sometimes they don't even bother to hide the fact that they are cheating. Servers should have PB screens and Battlerecorder.

If we had the ability to spectate someone in first person mode, catching an aimbot user would be easy. That thing is like a magnet. However, it only puts your crosshair/ironsight on your opponent. The bullets obviously aren't hitting every time.

very few people actually hack (in my opinion) and ive yet to accuse anyone of hacking as well.

Ive pulled off some great shots that if i was on the receiving end, i would wonder... 'how the heck did he do that!!.

On sharqi, when the round started i was mec, i spawned at the city entrance and a guy was walking to it. I had a pkm, so i knew i couldnt shoot him with it , (he was quite far awar. I pulled out my pistol. shot one, shot two (in quick succesion) an he dropped to the floor. So... flukey shots can happen.

You can spectate, although not in 1st person, most servers have that turned off. It can be used for ghosting and it would probably turn into another problem all together. The cheats/hacks available that I've seen don't seem to help. I remember the video someone posted of a sniper using the SVD that took like 6 shots to kill someone. I wouldn't call that a cheat, that guy just sucked.
I know that some people cheat, but I would be inclinded to agree with Viru$, there are a lot of flukey shots and most of the time that is what it is.

I've had 5 man squads rock up a flag and taken them all down witht he M11-87 a couple of times. It's all got to do with luck and timing. Once I picked them off from the back one at a time, the other I was in the midst of them. I've done this trick with the DAO-12 and a couple fo other weapons as well.

No hack to it, just being in the right place at the right time and a bucket of luck.

I've once or twice been tempted to accuse people of cheating. One of my own clan mates totally owns me every time we play against eachother. It doesn't matter what weapon I use, up close, far away, standing, prone whatever, I die to a single shot from the AK-101. However I've watched him play at a LAN and he is just a wicked player with fantastic reflexes, damn good mouse controll, and the best timing.

Also one thing I've noticed is sometimes I die from "a single AK shot" and when watchd from his screen, he's actually shot people twice or even 3 times.

Sound doesn't seem to be consistant in this game over the net.

I think mods, since theyre unranked, will have little to no hacking or even exploiting like macros or dolphin diving.

The hacking 12 year olds will be playing ranked servers, not battlefield pirates. This makes bfpirates and other great mods even more appealing, as everyone is there for fun, not to camp in a tank, exploit, or hack to make their score higher.

With just over 250hrs and 16,000 global point, I'm just getting good enough that some of the outragous shots I try to make actually do connect.

Or I'll be working with the guys I've hooked up with lately and one will warn me about some one on my six o'clock. Wham I take out two who thought they were sneaking up on me.

The only accusation I've recieved was during a tank battle. I got a shot in, missed one, took two, but my second made the tank I was fighting pop even though it's placement wasn't very good, I was suprised as hell.

Soon after the tank popped a fellow tanker came rumbling through the wreckage. Two of us had been firing on him.

In chat:

"Hey dis what type of hack you running on that tank?".

My answer:

"The teammate behind you hack. There were two of us"

There was a few "LOLs" from other players. He didn't say another word.

I was the same when I first started playing, but being new to BF2 but not to FPSs in general, I knew better then to say anything. I couldn't understand why I was dying so much, and how players were beating me. What I didn't realize is that at any given time in this game, there could be 3 or more people hitting you with shots, two of which you are totally unaware of.

Teammates, VOiP, people who play together a lot, commanders who spot well for their team, there are a ton of things that cause things to be percieved as "fishy".

I've recently just starting using frags in coordination with the UAV more often. Before I was always thinking "no way anyone is that lucky with placement", when actually it was practice, situational awareness,knowing the maps and how the flow of people and equipment travel.
