  • Encourage forgiveness

EA/DICE should encourage forgiving teamkills by logging punishes/forgives in the stats or by showing them with the end of round scores or any other creative means.

The way it is now, there really is no incentive to forgive. It's a WAR game and you want to take out your anger on anyone you can, even teammates, and what's a better way to do that than to punish the mo-fo and take away 4 points from them. So there really is no point in forgiving, unless of course, your mercifulness is acknowledged, congratulated and cheered.

      Re: Encourage forgiveness

eh some servers sortof log it, but no. if EA tries to implement forgives and punishes in their stat system wat will that do? if they have badges such as "forgiveness medal of honor" then ppl will be stepping into the middle of the road more often and try to be tked....but i think tehy should have it where if u forgive, the tker doesnt lose any points

ppffff - yea punishes are BS. I literally just got banned by an admin because i happened to hit him in a bombing run (which also took out the enemy target i was gunning for). What a douchebag.

It's been said before and I don't know why it wasn't like this at launch. A TK should be -2. The same as a kill, it just counts against you. And a "Forgive" shouldn't cost you anything. Accidents happens.

And yes, if they tracked it, it would make for an interesting stat.

There is nothing so accurate as incoming friendly fire.

              Re: Encourage forgiveness

I usually forgive unless it is intentional like for a vehicle or something. Sometimes I punish for stupidity though. Like throwing a grenage where I am prone to kill someone in front or behind me.

Im sure you have played in servers that ahve auto-punish enabled. So, unknowingly, you have.

                        Re: Encourage forgiveness

well, some servers do display if a player punishes or forgives. thats all. and its kinda sad that a forgive doesnt take away the -2. its a forgive right.
