Re: I miss Forgotton Hope
Ok, perhaps I was a bit overzealous. Those "months without a single word" are not something that I can recall. There was always activity there from what I remember (I've been around since wake island demo of '42).
Valid concerns. I'm not trying to be an FH fanboy or anything, however every mod has discrepancies that need to be dealt with. The FH team knows the power of their work and there will always be talented modders willing to contribute and expand their portfolios. From what I hear, FH and POE have collaborated as well.
If you remember the drama over there during the BF:V days, you'll see that these things are temporary (the troubles, that is). Seeing as their work is so top-notch, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt if they're still continuing development and not showing any signs of giving up.
Skepticism is never a bad thing because skeptics are rarely dissapointed, so forgive me if a I came off rude (I hoped the smiley would alleviate any assumptions of bitterness).

btw just because i actualy know a lot about developing process i know, that fh2 is on the verge of failing. bf2 days are limited, work to do such big mod is enormous. modern games are 'easy' to mod. but they are very complex at the same time. typical 4friends productions are not sufficient. to make fh2 on time [ie. when anybody still cares] it would take about 30-40 developers. they dont have so many. thats why we see a trench or two once a week or two. while typical bf2 map uses about 1000 different statics. creating statics is not so exciting as doing a tiger or p51. and mod without statics is incomplete. thats why fh2 takes so long. and thats why it can fail [however i wish them all the best - fh community was one of the best ive even participated - compared only to old and private True Combat mod for q3]
so good luck fh2, but im sceptical
