Now that I have a power new rig - Pentium 4 Dual core 805, 6800XT and 1GB RAM. Do you think I can play FH of BF1942? I recall it is a memory and CPU sucker. How many are playing this mod in the BF1942 community?

I could run most maps on high with my old 6600GT with 1.5gb ramm.
On some maps with 64p it did lag a bit, specially that "bombing the reich map"
(even with my new 7800 it still lags)
There are still severs up for it, I play on an Aussie one, FH2 should be out in acouple of months as well

Wow! Impressive, still going on I mean the development for such a historic game's mod. Downloading 1.4 Beta just now. When done, shall go install BF1942 and FH and FH 0.67A. BTW, is 0.67A the most current? Please check me thanks! What about BG? Nobody mentions that mod anymore.Comment

You should be able to run it just fine. I used to run it on my 9700 pro with hardly any problems except for very large maps. Playing it now on the x850 xt it runs almost perfect. In my opinion the best mod for any Battlefield game yet, though Eve of Destruction is a close second.Comment

I actually tried FH the other day on this new computer and it ran horribly. Doesn't shine well on the mod developers when a brand new state of the art game like BF2 runs better than your old BF1942 mod.Comment

yeah go to forgottenhope.net i think and go to downloads its 0.7 comes in a 2gb download rar, and 3 installs, run them in a row.

no, they werent issuing weekly updates. it is a quite new habbit. i'm with fh form .5 times. there were months without single word, there were members missing and leaving. there were numerous problems with 3rd party things, like mercilles sounds and textures
you are very fast to draw conlusions based on nothing, and it is apparent that you.. whatever.
btw just because i actualy know a lot about developing process i know, that fh2 is on the verge of failing. bf2 days are limited, work to do such big mod is enormous. modern games are 'easy' to mod. but they are very complex at the same time. typical 4friends productions are not sufficient. to make fh2 on time [ie. when anybody still cares] it would take about 30-40 developers. they dont have so many. thats why we see a trench or two once a week or two. while typical bf2 map uses about 1000 different statics. creating statics is not so exciting as doing a tiger or p51. and mod without statics is incomplete. thats why fh2 takes so long. and thats why it can fail [however i wish them all the best - fh community was one of the best ive even participated - compared only to old and private True Combat mod for q3]
