You have about the same points as I do, Bob. You can use my stats to compare with. http://www.bf2stats.nl/player/70550739/ I dont think Im a great player, but I would say Im a little above average. Also, even though stats dont mean much, I am going for all my veteran badges (probably wont ever get expert combat before switching to 2142 or some other game), just to become proficient in all weaponry on the game, and to experience the fun each class has to offer, such as mining the tops of vehicles, sniping guys who love to stay in mounted gun positions, and killing tanks with my rockets, by hiding behind the empty buggy I just jumped out of 5 seconds ago and the tool still didnt know I was proning behind it, waiting to reload and destroy him.
Its good you just play for fun, and focus on what you like to do, my friend who plays is a lot like you. I cant dolphin dive, and I dont prone as often or as well as I should, but crouching is definately paramount, and since its just a pinky twitch away from the sprint button, its much easier to do than prone, and you still get a good accuracy boost. Like one of the previous posters said, the only time you should shoot standing up is if you are shooting over a wall, or maybe in a close quarters battle with someone.
But f'reals though, as long as youre haivng fun playing, thats all that matters. Thats why we play games in the first place.Comment

Bob,
Just looking at the stats in your sig, the #1 thing you can do to help yourself is improve your accuracy. I would suggest playing single player with the different kits until you find one you like and are effective with. An accuracy of 13% is going down in front of someone who's got 25% almost all the time - prone/crouching/whatever. Aside from that, don't worry too much about stats - they are great for impressing the e-community, and that's about all.Comment

that 'guide' looks like what was published in gamepro magazine awhile back. i tihnk it was november or december. i dont remember. maybe i will go look later. seriously, dont give noobs a guide on how ot be an asshat in bf2, there are already enough as it is.Comment
