One more tip: you can access with very high rooftops if you throw the hook and than jump to from another tall buliding. Dont forget to press USE KEY to catch the rope. :)Leave a comment:

That "Whir" "Clink" is a siren call to my pistol. Usually happens at Warlord on the TV balcony when they fail to gain entry due to my clays.
Did you know that you can get your tools back reloading off a support kit after a certain amount of ammo has been expended?Leave a comment:

Yes it was known, funny is that if an enemy follows you climbing the hook, you can retrieve the hook and the enemy will fall, it also happens with friendlies so be careful when you pick it up again, you might send a teammate to meet the pavementLeave a comment:

Zip Lines and Grapling Hooks Tip
I did a search and didn't see this anywhere. Maybe it's common knowledge, but...
Did you know that after you deploy one of these two items, you can pick it up again with "G" (or whatever your kit swapping key is?) I was messing around on Warlord last night and did this by accident. Used a hook to climb a building, got to the top and hit G to pick up a dead medic's kit, picked up my hook instead.
Tried it with the zipline too, and it worked. I only wondered if this was common knowledge, because twice on the same map, I've walked around behind the Mosque flag and found a rope hanging there and a hiding insurgent on the roof.
This would seem like an ideal way for a sniper or spec ops to "tarzan" their way around a map, especially places like the river on Mass Destruction, or the high building flags on Ghost Town.
And if you listen, you can hear the grapling hook "clink" as it lands and the zip line's "whir", so you can be waiting to knife the guy in the face when they come up/land.
