      2gigs no problems.

      If anyone's keeping count and details. The more RAM the less Virtual Swap? Could that be the connection?

        1GB DDR PC3200 that is your problem.

        bf2 is a memory hog. The 30 seconds delay is it all being flushed out..

            It is a memory hog, especially if you run everything on high. I have 2G's and while playing on some maps, i get close to having only around ~400 megs left, thats starting with 1.6G free.

                I turned off page filing and have 2gb of sys memory. so I just use my RAM to load my OS and BF2 and everything is fast as hell.

                  Hmm, sounds like BF2 REALLY wants 2 gig. I've got 2 512 sticks and bought 2 more a couple of weeks ago but they didn't work cos memory needs to be rediculously matched. Maybe I'll buy some more but I'm fed up with spending cash on BF2.
