This is the thing, you do get all this research done and no one ever reads it they take the conclusion and remove everything else that says the user is the cause of the problem.
Headphones can damage your ears, if you the user are stupid enough to put the volume up to loud, every day use of headphones at a reasonable level will do no more damage than a speaker system.

I dont think you realise how much i value my hearing. Well i do, ALOT, and anything that could even slightly risk it seems like a stupid risk to me. Yes of course you can turn it down, but then theres times when you cant hear something properly, or your friends voice on vent is not loud enough, so you turn them up a little, and before you know it, you've been listening to artillery smashing your ears in for the last 2 hours. Anyway, how do you or anyone know what is a safe level on your headphones?
I think I'm addicted to them. It's about as heavenly as back-scratchers.
