Actually now that I think about it I think it used to be 5 but when claymores became indestructable it was lowered to 3 due to pressure from the 'community'.

Or am I dreaming...?

ude i had 6 down at once on karkand man......i switched kits from dead snipers

but after 30 seconds they would have dissapeired

with 1.2 it was possible to spam 5 live clays thats how i got my gold exsplosive badge the whole community was up in arm about it and they were right to limit it back to 2

I thought that the current limit on active claymores per player was 2.

Ahh yeah. That's it. I searched for the changelog but couldn't find it.

It used to be 5. Then claymores became indestructable with the 1.03(?) patch so in 1.21 DiCE limited the amount that a sniper could have active at any one time.

till u drop ur 3rd, I dont think u can have more then 2 on the ground

actually this is untrue i have died and layed out 2 more having 4 down for awhile for a minute or so. kinda cool
