How long do Claymores stay down for ? If i am a sniper and have layed down my 2 claymores and die my claymmores are still there , how long do thay stay there for if i respawn and dont lay anymore?

till u drop ur 3rd, I dont think u can have more then 2 on the ground -

About 30 seconds after you die. If you respawn and grab your old kit, they will stay until you die again.Comment

When you die by gunshot, you have roughly 15 seconds to be revived. After that, you have your kit on the ground for about 30 seconds. The clays having a limit of two and tied to a kit keeps the game from becoming a Clayspam hell. Even with all these limitations, it is pretty bad sometimes.Comment

If you die you get 30 seconds to respawn and pick up your old kit. I think this is a great little feature added to the game. Engineers who are defending a base don't have to drop the same mines in the same places as he did before his death if he manages to pick up his old kit.
Same applies for spec-ops and C4.Comment

way too long. when you die so should your claymores, but you got to love getting kills with them while your dead waiting to respawn. Mines also hang around for awhile after you're killed.Originally posted by Bald-Eagle11Comment

OKay, what about this scenario.
I am alive, and dropped 2 claymores. I restock from a support or from a ammo crate. Now I have another claymore.
If I drop it, will all 3 be active, or can only have 2 claymores active at a time?Comment

From what I remember a sniper can lay down 5 claymores just like the other kits can lay down 5 items (e.g. medic, support,...)
Can't remember if this has been changed or not but I don't think so.Comment

2 claymores you lay down and if you die as long as you dont go to another class they stay down until you put down another.Comment

No. I can vouch no on this one. Cuz I always play sniper, and I was capping a flag all by myself on karkand. It was the one all the way at the top by itself. So I lay down claymores and am caping the flag. SUre enough, someone comes and kills me from a long distance away. So I am dead, and spawned back at the flag i just capped. I wait (sniper) for the person to come and try to cap the flag, and when he gets to the flag, my claymores dont go off.....Originally posted by CyberDuck

i think most you can have down is 3, i was at the TV station in Sharqi, laid 2 then got resupply and laid another, all 3 were down at the same time (i could see them as they were closish together) but i got 2 kills with them??
I will find out tonight and get back tomorrow as im curious too now
