Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Info: The rumor is that "they" are going to eliminate or otherwise limit the ability to freely switch between pilot and gunner seats in the attack helicopters in BF2.
it's good - shouldnt have been in the game from day one
but on other hand tanks and apcs should all have required 2 players to operate them as well from day one
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. It's like voting for president... the lesser of 2 evils.
It's one of those changes that never should have had to been made... EA should have had the fore-sight to nip this in the bud before release but instead they let a few ace-pilots get used to the idea of not needing a gunner, hence the strong reaction from such a small number of folks.
Results closer this time, I guess I am a biased mo-fo.
If you change seat switching in the chopper, then you have to change it for all vehicles.
People love to say how you 'shouldn't be able to do it', but the funny thing is, 99% of the players CAN'T DO IT ANYWAY. It's a very difficult skill to master, and most people either can't do it at all, or can't do it very effectively.
If they change it, you will see a lot more TK'ing for the chopper, because good pilots/gunners don't want to waste their time with noobs. We all have limited time to play BF2, and we shouldn't have to spend it dying over and over again because some noob can't click his mouse on a huge tank.
i think it needs to go. Choppers were meant to be shared and not a glory fest for a greedy pilot. How can you get any team points soloing a chopper? Driver ability points? I would say that they could hover and take flag points, but we know thats never gonna happen.
would help put a stop to the tards that kill the gunner by sticking the choppers nose out of bounds if you manage to jump in and refuse to get out whilst they type insults and scream at you ............
Scary thing is they are normally time served bf2ers with high rank you would not see a nooby pull this move have decided i like noobs they are willing to learn not like the ringpieces who know it all
#makes fist thumb uppermost and rapidly shakes up and down in respect #
This reminds me of similiar nerfs. The blackhawk for example.
Everytime the good players master something somewhat difficult EA/Dice Take it away from us. I hope this rumour of nerfing switch hitting is fake.
They are taking away everything I enjoy in BF2.
This is just another pointless nerf, that will only hinder gameplay for experienced players. It will also influence more tking.
I would love to agree except that the Blackhawk thing required coordination of 2 or more players (A pilot who could position his gunners well and skilled gunners.
They changed the strength of the cannons and the flag cap rules. This isnt a weapon nerf, its a game mechanic nerf.
What if you have a good pilot and co, and somehow your pilot gets shot out? Is the chopper going to crash and burn because the co wont be able to take ove?

I meant that they are nerfing everything that is fun. Or taking away things that are fun.
It was unintended from the get-go. They just have weaksauce QA and playtesting resources.
Im not dense, I know it was not intended but it is just something A minority of players have mastered, and enjoy. It would be sad to see it go. Just like squad hopping, it was not intended to be turned into what it was but it did. I wonder what is next on the chopping board?

I don't think it's a minority anymore - quite a few people can perform the seat switch with decent effectiveness.
I just hope they stay consistent and do it for bombers too.
