I got mine on Mass Destruction. I was on the Russian side. I was gunner in the attack chopper. The pilot was really good. He got twice as many kills as me. I just got lucky and flew with a really good pilot.

He's talking about the crew service specialist ribbon in SF, not the regular BF2. It has harder requirements than the regular crew service ribbon.

Mine came as a passenger in an APC on Ghost Town. The driver was getting plenty of kills, and I was an engineer as we attacked alongside our tank. I was repairing the tank, which was driven by another engineer who repaired us in our APC, so we lasted quite a while...

I'd say you'd want to be either in an APC or an attack chopper to get it. I got my vanilla BF2 one as a passenger in a bomber, but there aren't any jets in SF so you can't do that...

Well it says 20 Driver ability + Kill assists
                  10 Kills

On BF2player, but does that mean I can have a mix of any?

                    Re: Crew Specialist...

I got it while manning the .50 cal on a Tank on Sharqi. I was an engineer, he got a bunch of kills (assists for me) and I got 5 kills with the .50 cal.

Same would apply for the SF ribbon but I havent gotten that yet. I need to gun for a tank on Warlord or something.

I tried to get this ribbon for a long time, got pretty frustrated and gave up. Then the very next day, I got it almost by accident.

If I wasnt clear, which I probably wasnt, here's how it works.

Your tank driver gets 20 kills (20 assists for you), you get 10 kills with the top gun... bingo, Ribbon.

Be a helicopter pilot and grab a friend to be gunner. Go around the map shooting lining up shots for the gunner until you get the 20 driver points and kill assists then switch spots. let your friend be the pilot and you gun. get your 10 kills and boom, ribbon.

Any combination of driver ability and kill assists, yes. As long your combined total of driver ability points and kill assists makes up 20 in that round, that's fine. Then you need 10 kills however you like. I'm not even 100% sure those kills have to be in a vehicle.

                          Re: Crew Specialist...

Everyone keeps forgetting the required "driver special ability" point. Make sure you get that before trying to get the 20 kill assists and 10 kills. Get a jeep and pick-up an engineer, drive up next to a tank and when it's repaired enough, the engineer will get a repair point and you will get the "driver special ability" point you need. Sit in a tank/apc for the rest of the round once you get your 10 kills. It's not THAT easy, takes some coordination of teammates... good luck!

I got mine on Iron Gator and I hear many of my gunners on Iron Gator have received it when I was flying.

I got mine in Ghost Town while using the apache chopper. It's quite easy to get if you know what you are doing. Just let your gunner do all the work and you will get it.
