FFS cant they get this problem solved once and for all?

If there was a problem with my connection my internet would not be working when I exited from the game.

The message should read.

"You have been disconnected from our server due to the shoddy netcode, we cant do anything about it so tuff titties"!!

How long has this game been out? How long has this problem been around?

Please fix it!!

Actually your internet would work if you had a problem with your connection. there is a thing called packet loss and BF2 has a virtual zero tolerance for it.

Well it seems a LOT of servers must suffer from it. I have cable internet and am so close to the exchange I can smell it.

Dont have this "packetloss" problem with any other game.

You are correct, a lot of servers are crashing believe me. It has everything to do with the 1.3 patch. You may indeed have packet loss with other games, you do not get disconnected from them because they have a higher tolerance for it. You might lag once in a while, but you do not disconnect. The only way you can be sure that you are not losing packets is to run a traceroute, unless you have already done this and have verified you ahve zero packet loss then you cannot rule it out.

I keep getting kicked by punkbuster for 'losing key packets'. I am on Nildram adsl and apparently my local exchange is congested and it won't be fixed for a while yet. My connection is ok, but I do lag and jerk about a bit at times, is there a way for me to play, or do I just have to wait for my exchange to be uncongested?
This problem does not result in me getting kicked by other games.

You could try changing the pb_sleep value from the default to a higher value like 60 or as high as 500

Bring up the console in-game while playing on a server using the tilde key (~)

Then type in the following:

pb_sleep 60
pb_writecfg


Also, make sure your punkbuster is up-to-date:

I played on 4 different servers today in the last 3 hours and one after another it brought up that message. After I reconnect to the server it kicked everyone everytime.
