I personally like having a pilot, but it's difficult to find one that will actually fly in the correct directions and evade enemies. Yesterday I had one decent pilot that got me lined up for 24 TVGM kills. However, he left the game and I was stuck with a really crappy pilot that would not even attempt to barrel roll out jets or spin around to an attacking helo.
It is good to solo a helo sometimes..Get's your skills with the TVGM up and your meanuvering skills up.

Hello....there are enough teammates in this game that no one has to fly solo!!

I am always looking to be a gunner, and see you guys fly off in the chopper solo!! WTF?? There are already too many chopper whores let alone chopper whores that fly solo!!! So be considerate of your teammates and take a gunner! Then you do not have to worry about any of the above bull!!

Funny how when I get a gunner I seem to die more often then I do solo...
It's simply cause there are A LOT of "crappy" gunners...
1/2 don't know how to shoot the TV, and the ones that do seem to miss 90% of the time...

I'd rather not get a gunner I don't know...skill level matters.. NOT RANK...

when going solo what i usually do is point the chopper left of the target and by the time it spins right it i will already hv switched to TV missile and the target will be within the crossharis. Much more quicker IMO..then waiting for it to spin right again and align with enemy

The problem with taking a gunner is, sometimes they're gonna suck, and not know how to use the TVs correctly, sometimes you're better off taking sometime by Hellfire. That's happened to me waaaay to much. If you're soloing, you have no one to blame except yourself.

Eventually you won't even have to compensate, hell, I just point myself right at whatever I want to kill and get it off quick. It's easy to roll/evade and get one out all within a few seconds. Soon enough you'll learn how to easily take out a F35. You just need to get lucky if you want to shoot down a J10, he has to be an idiot going 500mph or flying straight at you. The hitbox is still a pain compared to the F35.

Or you can bind a thumb button on your mouse so you don't even have to move anything. I have one of my thumb buttons assigned to position 2 in aircraft and position 1 in land vehicles. Tap, right click, left click until target eliminated, tap thumb button, it's back to flying.

There is one more method works mostly for long distance target, some of you may know it already, I found it about 2 month ago, it’s all about the speed.

You have to be on reasonable height (100+). Go straight to your target which is under the centre of your screen on speed ~200+ mph switch to gunner position, if you do all keyboard stuff fast you will see no displacement of target. Works well for me.

Flying solo is much easier since u can position ur own shot since u no wat kind of shots u r better at

Well I was gonna say that the, "oh noes!11!!! slefish!1!!" crowd would come in, but it appears they have already infiltrated this thread. Its a thread about soloing, dont like soloing? Then dont read the thread.

Everyone should make sure to shoot at any helis where the pilots purposely take off without letting gunners get in.

Its becuz the guy probably knew that u suck and that u cant fly or gun

Solo piloting is the biggest fun in the game, I just ralised it a week ago.

ps.: bank left a little so it wont spin (that fast)
