    The patience is running out...

Everytime I play and I usually solo pilot on Wake etc and other maps, but when it comes to Sharqi etc it helps to have a Helicopter pilot/gunner, but it seems everytime I let the stray cat through the door into the helicopter they seem to, stuff up? if thats the word. On Oman was on USMC and in the helicopter I was gunner, so I took out the APC's fair enough but then he crashed into trees a few times, next I was piloting then he kept missing with the TV missiles and saying he ''Just woke up'' So got in again and had another pilot, the helicopter was around 20 meters away with its back turned, so im saying enemy heli spotted like 100 times, then im typing it and he flys down and we start getting pounded by the helicopter and then he crashes into the ocean.

On Fushepass the enemy heli was infront of us but instead my pilot went infront of him so that heli took us out. I try to be as patient as I can with the certain players but its getting tough after putting up with it for so long. I rarely actually get a good pilot or gunner, I can recall 2 good gunners and 1 good pilot I've had for the helicopter in my BF2 play time, and I can name them.

So yeah this is a rant, the patience fuel is about to empty.

    Three options:
1: come here and whine (you have covered that well).

2:move on to a new game that involves no cooperation/team play since you are so elite.

    OR

3:Maybe you could take them aside and give them some pointers/ training so you could have a few more players fly/shoot missles as well as you and in the process develop some regulars/friends/clan that would meet your standards and fly with you whenever you play.
Something like this guy is trying to do.

You have to understand that people who are skilled to fly should be few and far between. Otherwise the "Battle" in Battlefield will stop at the helipads and runways where everyone will be fighting for a seat. It has to be that way. You need to start making some E-friends. WHen you find that rare gunner/pilot, write down his x-fire or get into TeamSpeak together. Make it a point to play together. I have people that I met in BF2 that I play with EVERYDAY.

I know what you mean, but remember its only a game. I fly 90% of the time i'm in the chopper and when you have a crappy gunner you just have to talk him through things and get creative. I fly solo every once ina while when nobody is wanting to gun, but leaving people and taking your gunner out of bounds to kill him pisses me off. not saying you do that, but just my opinion.

While points 1 and 2 are funny and "hot", 3rd is a good choice. However, heres the problem:

Lets say you took a newbie on a ride, gave him a few pointers on what to do and whatnot. You die in 3 minutes because of an unfortunate event and you get the chopper, and you have a NEW newbie who you have to teach again. It gets so annoying. Irritating. It just makes you want to consider alternatives such as taking them out of bounds. And its bad.

The best solution is- gather up good people, good gunners on X-Fire, like Metallica and Chodda here, prime examples. Or try to stay in one solid server and become a regular. WHich is an even better choice because soon youll have a selection of regular-gunners aswell.

This happens a lot to me, I fly with random gunners and random pilots; 95% of times they will suck and along with baserapers they are my main chopper death causes.

You (we) got to find yourself a gunner or a pilot.

number 1, im not whining im stating a fact that its something that happens to alot of people, and I have gotten tired of it.

Number 2, I didn't claim nothing your putting words in my mouth, im not claiming im 'elite' all im saying is when I started playing this game I got killed alot especially by vehicles, but I've learned along the way and put effort into learning to use the vehicles effectivly ON UNRANKED/BEFORE SERVERS START and therefore got better, now I usually do give tips to them but alot of people don't want to listen, its a case of ''ah **** ya tips I know what im doing'' so what you need is to competent players in a helicopter, again I didn't claim nothing, but I can fly and I can gun therefore you need someone else who can fly and can gun, not just for my benefit but the teams.

Now I understand what you are saying, im not arrogant, im not the best gunner or pilot, but I took the time to learn and I can only get better, I don't put down anyone for learning. I have respect for people who actually learned how to do something. Now Chodda is no doubt a good gunner even though I haven't played with him, but its obvious that if he got in a helicopter and had a garbage pilot that he would'nt respect it, neither would you. If I wanted to give people training on how to do this, that and the next thing then I would have a training course, but I can't do that within battle and neither will anyone else.

Out of my friends in rl that play BF2, most of them are on Karkand all of the time or Sniping etc so none of them really use the choppers etc. That link you posted, I'll check it out.

Finally someone knows what im saying. It is true, I once had a pilot take me from the Wake airfield to the carrier, I got banned for base raping when I didn't even shoot anyone, I told him to go back but he didn't and started blasting.

Its as simple as this. Does becoming a good Helo/jet pilot or gunner not take time? Of course it does. Dictation of time says you're going to have a bigger selection of rookies than vets to accompany you in the a helo and/or jet. I can relate to this thread as it pisses me off too. Thats why I try to stick to servers where I know vets frequent the servers often. As for the rookies, don't hate on them, just avoid them like the plague.

hahaha, EA puts very little into the hands of a infantryman to battle

Why is it so hard to understand that jets will ALWAYS own you, no matter what. Thats how it is supposed to be. Unless, of course, you use Teamwork.

Try flying an F35 on Oman in Tactical Gamers. They got a guy on every single god damn stinger. All of them are communicating and owning your ***. You get up, waste flares on one then another 2 come after you and they force you up high and you cant fight. Got to divebomb all of them. Thats what teamwork does.

You arent supposed to battle Jets alone. You are supposed to spot them and hide like a little baby. Thats how it should be.

And dont say that choppers are overpowered. They have a crapload of counters. Stingers, FAVs, PKM, Antitank, Tank main gun, and even regular small arms fire and M95 fire. So if a chopper is owning you, its your fault.

Oh and before you tell someone not to say a word, learn to spell that word. POSSESS.

I agree that there is little to do against jets, but definitely choppers are easier targets for ground pounders.

What I see is total lack of intelligence; for example, the Mi-28 camping the USMC TV station. First of all, if the AH-1Z did its job, this wouldn't be happening. Second, you can spawn somewhere else, take a car and shoot it with the .50; man the AA's or whatever.

But no, everybody will keep spawning and dying, that's a total classic.
