1.40: Which awards will be easier to get in the 'Infantry Only' mode?
Re: 1.40: Which awards will be easier to get in the 'Infantry Only' mode?
omg what, cant think of all the noobs who already join the server just to get IN a tank?already happened...come on?AT mine?are u dumb?no one will plant those
Re: 1.40: Which awards will be easier to get in the 'Infantry Only' mode?
Infantry Only is stupid. If you want that go play Counter-Strike, it has much better infantry combat systems than BF2 (hitboxes for example). Battlefield has always been about the vehicles until a bunch of crying children said "OMG I CANT TAKE TEH EVIL TANKZ NO MORE!!!11111". Shut up, if your team used an iota of teamwork then you would spawn with more AT and send a volley of rockets at any armor that comes your way. "OMG TEH PLANEZ ARE TEH OVERPOW-" no, the only overpwered plane is the J-10 and even then its pretty easy to shoot it down with ground-based AA (most pilots suck anyways). "TEH CHOPPERZ!" you say? "TEH STINGERZ AND AT ROCKETTZ AND HUMVEEZ" I say.

They just stated in BETA2 that it WILL be ranked.
Ya I just read that too. I'm surprized they actually listed to the community. :)
Hello everyone! Based on player feedback and bug reporting we are moving forward with our second 1.4 Beta version. This version has additional bug fixes and the following changes to the “Road to Jalalabad” map and the “No Vehicles” server option.
Road to Jalalabad
- Tickets adjustements
- Removal of 1 US tank to help address balance issues.
No Vehicles Option
- Added a new Server Browser Filter option for No Vehicles
- Return Health to default BF2 level
- Return Medic pack and Revive values to Default BF2
- Default spawn times to Default BF2 setting.
- No Vehicles is now a ranked server option!
We kept:
- Keep the current sprint bar setting (I.e. 2x sprint)
- Keep the current Vehicle exclusion list (i.e. we are not introducing light jeeps etc, just keeping the boats on Carrier levels).
Re: 1.40: Which awards will be easier to get in the 'Infantry Only' mode?
you are completely wrong with inf only servers,i play on them nowm(mostly karkand) and there arent most medics at all,every1 wants to kill people so they pick pkm g3 sniper and engi(for closequatters) those games are almost the same as with apc and 2 tanks, you can just avoid them, its not that hard to kill them, you are only whining about something you cannot handle
bf2 was and will be about vehicles,if not go to cs and CoD
i like running people over with buggy sometimes using armor and i enjoy using transport
people stop whining,bf2 without vehicles can be funny for 2 hours but you will come back to the normal aftzer that belive me

Engineers and AT soldiers will never appear in this mode. Probably less than normal Spec Ops as well.
It'll be support, medic, and sniper. Mostly medic.
yay
There will be alot more people playing Engi than you think. There are quite a few infantry players who swear by the stock shotty. Especially the USMC pump shotty. If you know how to use it correctly its a 1 shot 1 kill weapon.

I hope DICE is smart enough to remember to change the game's name to Counterfield 2... or Strikefield 2. Yeah, lame puns, but you get the idea =)
BF2's infantry play is nothing like Counter Strike. Your analogy/pun is without merit.
