The Pizza Hut noob rant

ok heres a little background to what a pizza hut noob is:
Pizza hut recently released a meal deal in Australia called "the game deal", its nothing special, happened three times already. What this meal is:
2 large pizzas, 1 garlic bread, 1 1.5 L pepsi and a game of your choice for $34.95 AUD pick up. So far so good?
The games are: Need for speed: most wanted, The Sims 2 and Battlefield 2
ok... nothing too bad?
when one of the most popular games comes with one of the most eaten foods what do you get? pizza hut noobs

why do i hate them you might ask? well...
i played a single game today and half of the players were sgt and under. low ranks = noobs and when noobs try do eevrything themselves, they screw up. and when they screw up, i go down with them
eg. im flying a cobra and im lifting off im just off the ground and i spot an enemy APC. i line the guy up and i spot and tell him to shoot.
what does he do? he bails out, no parachute and makes me swoop for the kill

another time i am flying an F-18, just lifted off and what happens? some guy randomly falls in front of me after bailing from a blackhawk for no apparent reason, makes me swerve and almost smash into a mountain

they have no idea what to do either, theres always a stack of them just standing around doing nothing
or else, when they are in combat, they dont do their job, ie medics revivng support resupplying etc

they think theyre mad when they get into a jet and crash 10 secs later or think they can fly a blackhawk and it flips over, tking everyone around him

its like, mass noobs!

You call them noobs like if you were never a noob and I am sure when you were there the higher ranking guys thought the same about you.

Haha. I'm a pizza hut noob. Most people seem to be choosing games such as The Sims 2, unless they actually can play BF2. Besides, they'll either learn to play properly or leave soon, so just wait them out.

I guess you have a right to rant, but a player's rank isn't any indication of skill; play in any server with 'veterans' and you get them doing the very same things, as you point out above.

You'll always get problems like the above, as everyone is different and has a different objective when playing.

This is more like a vent, noobs are here to stay. First people cry hack when someone is good, then someone who says they have skill cry noob because they can't have a normal game. You are a 2nd LT and about now you should know how this game is played and who plays it.

well thats the first time in my life that i am gratefull to live in germany and play on a french server. Too far away from Down under ^_^

I feel your pain though....last night I was in the Cobra as Pilot and some guy took gunner seat. I lined him up on a enemy AA Vehicle and he fired the minigun.
I yelled "USE THE TVs!! USE THE TVs OR WE ARE ALL DEAD!" in the Mic. He bailed to death , i died in my ride. We spanwned at Heli-pad he said "yeah man sorry...couldnt find the remote for my TV" I shot him.

In fact, a friend of mine created a BF2 profile, PizzaHut.N00b, so that others would get some laughs out of the situation.

To be honest, though, I really don't mind the influx of new players. I've joined quite a few Internode and GameArena servers in recent weeks and noticed the high number of low-ranked players but they're invariably fun/easy to kill and whereas a lot of seasoned players take the game too seriously, most of the Pizza Hut noobs are simply there to have fun.

I agree they can be a liability sometimes but everyone has to start somewhere. If, in future, you find yourself stuck with a Pizza Hut noob for a gunner, just treat it as an opportunity to teach someone who lacks experience how to improve. Often that's even more rewarding than getting a first-rate gunner and dominating the opposition.

One thing i like about BF2 is the different levels people are at. it's a big learning curve. When i started (my other account is at 17k points) i was getting wiped all the time but i soon learnt.

Give it time and some of these Pizza hut noobs as you call them will be kicking ***!!

we wer all noobs at sum stage. if im in a gd mood i will be friendly to 'em nd try to teach them stuff cos i know wen i was a noob i wud have been grateful for any tips or advice. if im in a bad mood tho i jst shout at them and get very frustrated e.g. gunners that jump out wen they hear the first beep, tanks/apcs that go straight into the battle nd get pwned.

noobs who are noobs cos of things lyk flying shud go on single player tho, cos a noob taking a plane/chopper to learn to fly is not cool

I love playing with them, at least they dont prone jump like all these so called "pros"...
more kills for me, and I like the fact that I'm teaching fellow squad members the ropes.
Give em a chance, we were all noob when we started (some of us have'nt come very far either).
