use clays to set traps for jeeps and buggy's, if you place it on the side, it will kill every one in the buggy or jeep, it wont do that much damage to a jeep, but 2 clays will kill a buggy on full health

If a tank rolls up to a claymore. Will the claymore explode? Or do Humans (infantry) only set them off. thanks.

Tanks do set them off but won't do a bit of damage. A claymore is a small amount of explosive set behind a couple thousand BB's. It's might ding the paint a little.

i see the clay+AT thing as a good thing, promotes teamwork and increases the effectiveness/point ability of the engie more

In the good old days claymores used to be able to detonate AT mines. So it was possible for a sniper and an engineer to work together, and setup very nasty traps at the sides of roads.
You didn't have to place the AT mine on the road, since it would be triggered by the claymore's explosion, which was previously triggered by a tank passing in close proximity. So setting those up under bushes right by the road was a very effective tactic.
Unfortunately Dice changed all explosives to be non-destructable by other explosives... What a sad thing...

Maybe I'm hallucinating, but I've had some success with claymores against the Chinese jeeps on Dalian.

You know how there are those narrow little strips of land between the bases on the ocean side? I place a pair of claymores, facing inwards so that a jeep can drive between them and maybe the driver won't notice. Pretty close to each other, like maybe two jeep widths apart.

I've gotten some nice kills that way, and the jeep usually burns. If it's smoking, well you know what happens next...

a claymore exploded in front of my hummer yesterday and did minimal damage. so yes - they do damage but its VERY negligible.

Re: Do Claymores hurt tanks and vechiles?

If the clay is placed in a good spot it will kill the driver or crew inside buggies/jeeps. But it will not destroy a healthy vehicle. If the vehicle's health status is in the red area this becomes different though.
Claymores are most effective if the vehicle passes them. If you drive directly into a claymore it is very unlikely to kill anyone in the jeep (buggy yes)

Re: Do Claymores hurt tanks and vechiles?

pretty much you want the claymore to explode when exposed passengers are facing the clay. that way the actual vehicle isnt protecting them. i like facing clay's TOWARD me, away from the direction enemy vehicles usually go. that way, when they drive over it, it only goes off when they are fully past it and thus all the guys in the back get a facefull of shrapnel

when i find a spot to snipe, i usually plant 2 claymores behind me...and ive been able to kill a jeep with claymores...but dont try to take out tanks with it...i remember once i was in a tnak and i saw that a sniper had a few claymores planted at the base so i was like "stand back ppl, lemme take out tehse claymores" and i just run them over...doesnt do much damage
