    Higher than 4xAA

Sorry, tried a search a few times, didnt see anything, so i apoligize if this has been answered 1005 times...

How do you get higher than 4xAA, if you use the nvidia control panel, will bf2 recognize it in the in-game settings menu (or wil it still show 4x?) thanks

BF2 doesn't need to recognise it. However you need a capable card, many won't do more than 4x.

So with a capable card it's just a matter of setting the card software to this and BF2 will run like that?

AA = Anti-Aliasing. The the higher the Anti Aliasing the less jaggy everything looks. YOu can adjust this setting in the Options/Video in the battlefield menu.

Cheers mate. Just switched mine to 8x. Will give it a shot now.

Side note, I though two 7800's could do 16x? Or am I talking crap?

If your 7800's are in Sli then you have to enable sli AA it is in the Nvidia controls advanced settings . It gives you 16x and I think 8x sli AA

That is the only AA thing I can find.

Ignore me, I've now set it to 16X AA.

Wonder how that will run, 8X was just as smooth as 4x.

Lol. I have 2 7800GTXs as well, but I think they hate me. Are you running with any sort of Transparency AA?

                            No bloody idea mate

I just tried the game with 16x. It was quite jerky and it worked my GPU's a little too hard for my liking:

Back down to 4x AA. In all honesty I didn't notice any differene prettyness wise.

they can do 16x u have to use coolbits to enable it if ur using old drivers!
goto the vid card control panel and enable sli if u havent! then goto rendering mode SLI-antialiasing then pick 8x or 16 x! and if u do that turn AA ingame to off! and having it set to 2x or 4 x will overide the 16x i believe!
depending on ur comp 16x might be slugish! sli8x shoud work wonders for u!
