Nice. But you need to fix those door blinds they're all bent up!

That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world. We are the wretched refuse. We're the underdog. We're mutts! Here's proof: his nose is cold! Dunno, it'd look funny considering BF2 still doesn't support Widescreen, so it looks squashed, unless you modify it, but then it cuts the tops off the FOV by a bit.
It's not that bad, I have a Widescreen running at 1680X1050, but still could look tons better if they only support the damn thing.

My big screen has a format button. I can just set it to 4:3 ratio. Of course, then I'm not really playing at 1080i and 54."

Dude, the very first thing I did when I bought my 54" monitor was hook my PC up to it. At first I only played games that were well-suited for gamepad use, as my only wireless input device was a Saitek gamepad. I can't remember which game was first... Republic Commando, Ultimate Spiderman, X-Men Legends 2, Advent Rising, San Andreas, or Oblivion(which isn't REALLY suitable for use with a gamepad, bastardized control scheme.) I know I played all of them in the first weekend. I had to throw in some HDTV episodes of Smallville and Lost to remind my wife that she likes it, too. But I can play games while she watches Lost. I hate that show. :)

          DUDE!!!

I'd start actually attending church if they had screens like that there.

What do you do? Sit there and watch movies or something.

I plugged my pc into out bravia too but Bf2 doesnt support the 13xx*10xx resolution of it so its just BF2 highest res on the center of it ..

Playing on big screen with high settings looks/feels great but theres no real advantage on the gameplay :)

Yeah, there are movies actually. And I help make some of them, as the have an "editing pc" at the church, which has sony vegas, ps, etc.. on it and they make their own videos. They also use it for the slides for the songs, and the pastor uses it for his talk.

                Blasphemy!

But really, if my local church had a screen like that I would be such a devout Christian...

Is there any actual point to playing on a larger screen? I could understand if there was FOV panning to make it look actually realistic (throw in Track-IR into the mix, add a lightgun or some crap), but why bother when you can play equally as well on a 19" screen?

Lol, yeah its pretty awesome. The whole place is only about a year old, our church use to be in a rented industrial building, and we had these tiny tiny screens, nothing special. But they finally went and built their own building and now they have all this high tech stuff.

As for your question, I think it just looks cool, and usually "bigger is better", so idk.

                    Edit- heres a pic!

judging by the size of the people in the pic, the screen is NO WHERE near 60 feet
it looks to me to be more like 16x20 or 16x24 but I could be wrong
and that doesnt even look like a church, its a dead match for my high school auditorium, so that is 1 hell of a church LOL

Ok, so I was there today and asked the guy who helped set it up, and he said its a 30 foot screen. Its still real big.
