Big Screen BF2

Does anyone play BF2 on their television? I've been playing on my 19 inch LCD from day one, all the while my 2nd monitor setup is my 65 inch HD television. I am toying with the idea of sliding my machine closer to teh tv so I can utilize the component video vs. S-Video and play some this weekend. Anyone else try this?

I got no screenies of my setup........mainly cuz its not my usual setup. Everyonce in awhile though, i play it through my movie projector on my screen. Looks as nice as it does on the monitor.
The problem..........is.... for me, is the bigger the screen, the more you have to start moving your eyes..........and head. This actually slows you down a bit. I suppose you could get used to it......but i couldnt, so i only play on my 8ft screen, on.......just spur of the moment times. (rarely)

buddy has a 110" with OPTOMA (sp?) projector....

might have to hook it up and see...

he just built a new PC with a 7950 gfx card.... so I suppose it should hand the res...

I've played on a lot of different sized screens, from 17" and up. I've found the ideal screen size (as in not too big not too small) to be a 24" widescreen. Place between 1 1/2 and 2 feet away it completely fills your field of vision but not in such a way that you have to move your head around.

If you have to hook up through S-Video though, don't bother. The image will degrade quite a bit versus going through component/vga/DVI.

I miss playing on my old school's 16 foot projection screen.
Man, that rocked. Full theater surround sound too.

24 inch widescreen moniter for me.

Quick story. I once played Halo 2 (I suck at the game) on a projector and I say "Do I just press power to turn it off?" and people start cracking jokes about how stupid I am. So I press the button, and the guy who owns it comes in and figured out I had just turned it off and explained to me that I had to let it cool down. The moral of this story is: wtf.

Anyways, I play BF2 on my 15" LCD and its big enough for me. I actually think it would be harder to play on a big screen, I just have that feeling.
