It's their server and the rules are not against ROE. Play by the rules or suffer the consequences. If you don't like the rules then you play somewhere else. When you go in a server and break the rules you have lost your right to complain about whatever happens as a result of your actions.

If you have been kicked for no reason whatsoever then thats a different problem. This was not the case here, you broke the rules and talked smack about it. That will get you banned most times.

Here's a tip.....if you have been found guilty by an admin on a server for breaking their rules, simply say i am sorry and 99% of the time you wont get kicked or banned.

We pay for our server, we make the rules and simply ask for those who play on it to follow those rules. If you have a problem with that dont play on our server. If you like to snipe on uncapps find a server that allows that. But dont come on our server we pay for and cry when we kick you after being warned. Grow up.

If you've got an enemy at medium range and all you have is a DAO-12 and no cover, there's nothing wrong with using an AT weapon to defend yourself.

what i dont get is this guy says his side. I think the server is crap. Then the server shows us the logs and there is no way i can disagree. They were right. And then everyones like well. um... its just a puny sniper rifle. If he was warned then kicked i think he deserves to be banned

Honestly, I couldn't care less what you guys do on your server. Just wanted to point out some flaws in your logic.

I was on your server recently, played a few rounds of karky then the map rotation went to mashtuar city. there was great squad play and no real problems until suddenly out of knowhere i am staring at the server list screen screen with a message: 'You have been kicked for idling over an hour'
WTF!!! I hadn't even been on your server for an hour. The whole time i was running around with my squad, capping bases and owning. This was a complete shock to me and was obviously a display of poor admining. I was a regular on your server but have not been back since and am really gutted about that. 5 seconds before i was kicked i threw a grenade as i was running towards a flag i was trying to catch and killed some guy...was this an admin getting revenge or just a mis-understanding? Thanks

I'm an admin for this server and although I was not there at this incident I can state the following from the server logs and a brief chat with the admin who kicked you.

- Your team were initially spawn camping/base raping an uncapable
- You got warned and a couple of others got kicked because of this (see the logs)
- You then bragged about your camping and as a result got banned.

I don't recall seeing anything about an aimbot other than Ed (the admin who banned you) who asked "Are you cheating?" unless there was another incident.

We try and keep the game fair and fun for everyone and so we don't tolerate spawn camping - regardless if you're going for a 'expert sniper' medal. We also unban people (1st time) who appeal , however in your instance since you've decide to make up crap along the way it will stick.

WRONG... you're interpretting the logs all wrong, because you weren't there.

When GC[ SSG_W1LL13 says "stay out of the main base"... he wasn't talking to me.

I was on the front flag of the Rebels. We were trying to take Cooling station or whatever that flag outside the Spetnaz base is. So I decide to snipe, because I only need a few more hours to have enough time for expert... I get up and run to the right to try to get a better view. I see 3 of your guys running up the side of the hill trying to flank me. I shot and killed one... unscoped.. and then I try to pistol a few more. Don't remember if I killed them though. That's where my unscoped, lucky comment comes in.

As for baseraping... we owned the entire map, except the uncappable Spetnaz obviously. The Spetnaz were clearly outmatched. So I'm taking sniper positions. I'm just shooting them left and right. It's not like I was taking potshots at people spawning. From that first flag you can barely see the spawn positions. Usually they'd be coming up to the bridge... and once they're in that range and laying down to take shots at me... what am I suppose to do? Just let them? No... because I consider that on the move and out of the uncappable.

So I wasn't baserapping. Their guys were out and on the move, trying to approach and kill us. I just happened to be owning them. You also notice that lots of guys were kicked for baseraping.... The comments about baserapping were referring to them.. NOT me. My comments just happened to coincide with theirs. Notice the time differences between the comments also.

The only thing I'm guilty of is bragging about it. And if that warrants a kick and now apparently a ban, so be it. To be honest, I don't want the ban lifted either. Thanks though.

Also, think about it... lets says I did step foot inside the Spetnaz spawn uncappable with a sniper rifle. ALL their guys are spawning there because they had no flags. Am I really going to own ALL 12 or 16 players? Not unless I'm using some sort of invincibility hacks. Your clan and server just got owned, or as I prefer to say...RAPED... by a sniper on one of his better days. Just leave it at that. I'll see you guys on other servers.

I reread the thread to make sure I answered most of the questions posed. As a side note.... On the Rebels side were a bunch of random pubbers. On the Spetnaz side, the RS clan mostly and a few random guys I'm betting.

We actually run a Special Forces server, not a vanilla BF2 server. So you are actually mistaken. We also do not have an idle kick time on our server. I set that myself. So you must be talkin bout another server.

As for you Zephram, you will learn soon enough in life that lying gets you no where. I'm sure you have learned your lesson regarding our server, but in the future remember this phrase: "Lying gets you no where".

Your 1st and last sentence seems to be the only truth that's come from you.

It never ceases to amaze me the people who get kicked and banned think they can come back and make up some BS story and try and put down the admins or the server.

This type of crap happens to us all the time. Our admins are required by us that if they ban someone they need to provide the evidence to the rest of us for safe keeping, like server logs, BR downloaded from that round just for people like you Zefram who lie through their teeth, so when they come back with their BS story we can show to them and the rest of the world what a liar they are.

Whether you were base raping or not I don't really care, but the proof is there that you lied about your banning reason so why would anyone believe you that you weren't base raping.

Makes you wonder how many of these types of threads where you only hear 1 side of the story are true huh? That's why I will never make a judgement until I have heard both sides of the story and this thread points out why everyone else should too!

but if you can not enter an uncap to even take out resources or have someone snipe into it....this is unreal

We don't have any problems about people taking out commander assests (actually I'm sure I put an auto message stating 'Only attack Uncaps to take out commander assets' or words to that effect), however the only issue we have with this guy was that he was nailing people the second they spawned.

Yeah its just a sniper rifle, but a single head shot in that instance where people stand still for 2 seconds when they respawn is just as tackless as camping with a APC. In some ways an APC is easier to figure out due to its size and noise so respawning as AT of SF and blowing it up is easier.

A sniper could be anywhere and if the commander isn't doing a good job or is too preoccupied being killed then finding this sniper becomes a problem esp if they're situated behind them and the UAV is being dumped on the front line.

The point is he was spawn camping and on an uncap at that, and thats not allowed on our server - and this is clearly stated every few minutes as a server message. We'd have been a bit more sympathetic towards him if he wasn't being a jack*** and whinging about being banned for supposedly using an aimbot on a public forum.

Um, sorry, I think you are the ones crying. You were getting owned, plain and simple. Rules like no attacking uncap bases and such are usally made by clans that suck. I've played on tons of clan servers that have no rules, and let me tell you it's a blast. None of the type of BS I've read in this thread. If there is someone camping a base or spawn point, they get dealt with. You learn to adapt in this game, or like you, you make stupid rules and cry like little bitches.
