Hi guys, Zefram back with another useless thread of the weekend.

So I just joined a server that was playing Mass Destruction because I wanted my time with the Rebels. I need time to get my service medal. Ooooh how I love those service medals. They're easy to get. Anyways, I'm also trying to get my expert sniper/special badges, but I need time for those too. I love playing sniper on Mass Destruction.

So our team is losing like 280-230 something when I join. Within a few minutes, I'm going balls out and capturing flags left and right. Always leaving behind claymores and crap. The enemies always seem to find my claymores. I mean, I'm going nuts because I'm sniping people like crazy style. Their rushing up a hill to get me and I'm shooting people UNSCOPED even. It's insane. I'm having a way above average round as a sniper.

So one guy goes, "Zefram are you cheating?" I go, "Hell no, I don't cheat." He goes, "I had to ask."

So I precede to sniper their asses like there's no tomorrow. I end up going like 34-10. Not awesome as a sniper, but decent. Lo and behold, the next thing I see when the new map starts... "You've been banned for 'cheating with an aimbot.'"


What noobs. It's a shared clan server... so go into their house and own them up... and get banned.

I'm an admin for this server and although I was not there at this incident I can state the following from the server logs and a brief chat with the admin who kicked you.

- Your team were initially spawn camping/base raping an uncapable
- You got warned and a couple of others got kicked because of this (see the logs)
- You then bragged about your camping and as a result got banned.

I don't recall seeing anything about an aimbot other than Ed (the admin who banned you) who asked "Are you cheating?" unless there was another incident.

my question is how can you consider a sniper a base raper? That is a snipers job to harrass behind the lines...now if he was in a tank or apc ....ban his arse but with a puny lil sniper rifle? hell i would just cartillery his arse and leave it at that....

Hmm... I would like to see Zefram's response. But from what I read in the log he said, "I'm raping you guys with a sniper rifled..." This does not necessarily mean spawnraping the base. Raping can also be substituted for 'owning.' Do we need a lesson in online gaming slang? With a score of 34-10, I would say that is raping/owning. BUT then again, I wasn't there and I could be wrong. Just have to wait for Zefram's response.

i too saw this and since i wasn't there i cant take either side but honestly i dont think zef could pwn inside a main up close with a silly sniper rifle....

Thanks for taking care of that Sanchez. Quite honestly, the log says it all. Zephram is obviously the type of player none of us really want or need in our servers. We have very strict rules for our server, and we enforce them just as strictly. We have a -B.G- member who is a full-time admin, and his objective is to keep the server "NOOB FREE". Maybe we do need a lesson in gaming slang. What is a "NOOB"? To me, a n00b is someone who is ALWAYS looking for that cheap kill---> Using RPG's to shoot soft targets (infantry), setting up claymores right on a spawn point, and in this instance: CAMPING AN UNCAPPABLE FLAG AND SNIPING ENEMIES AS SOON AS THEY SPAWN. That is a cheap way to get kills, and we will first warn, followed by a kick, then if done again, followed by a ban. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. If you think you are going to come into our server, and get all sorts of cheap kills, you have surely mistaken. Our squad is comprised of all very talented BF2 players, and we love to be challenged by players just as talented, or more talented as us. So Zephram, due to your lack of character, and lack of skill, you are no longer welcomed in our server. Good luck with your BF2 adventures in the future. To the rest of us, let's ban together against the n00bs, and MAKE THEM LEARN SOME SKILL!!!:evil:

1. If you're as skilled as you say, you would have no problems taking out ONE sniper. If he is close enough to drop clays on spawn points, then he's close enough to be taken out in close quarters. Sniper in close quarters = ineffective.
2. What is a cheap kill? A kill is a kill. You're telling me your members don't use Eryx's to take down infantry? I can almost certainly guarantee they use armor to take down infantry. Now THAT sounds like a cheap kill to me. The cannon on a tank isn't meant for infantry. What about shock paddles? I bet your members have shocked an enemy before and got the kill. Those aren't meant for killing either. So again, what is a cheap kill?
3. You said you like being challenged by players as skilled and more skilled than you. In this case, it looks like Zefram was more skilled coming out w/ 34-10 as a sniper. But I guess he's just a 'noob' afterall. Wouldn't want to say he is a better player than your members. That is just not possible, right?

we too have a rule about camping uncaps, we do allow it once you have all the other flags though. but if you can not enter an uncap to even take out resources or have someone snipe into it....this is unreal and i am a realism player so i probable wont venture into this server so i wont get kicked. but i wish them the best of luck, as for zef bummer dude seems you broke their rules...

Well put Bird. That really is the problem with most of these players who end up getting kicked and banned. There is a total disregard for authority, and disrespect is something we will not tolerate one bit.

And as for you RUb-UFS-, before you start jumping to conclusions about how "skilled" anyone is, I suggest you come play in our server. Then we shall show you whether or not we are as skilled as we claim.
