I worked on Wake Island for a year as a security force police. It is pretty neat and all playing on it going damn I used to sit in this tower all the time....

Isn't Wake Island actually pretty flat? The highest point is something like 20 feet above sea level?

Off that topic and on to the original post, I thought that sometime ago someone made a post up about this very same topic and it was concluded for the most part and possibly by some EA/Dice person that the names of some of the places are real but were not an accurate depiction of those locations, if my memory isn't too rusty. I'd use the search engine to try and find that post, but we all know how well that works on here :laugh:

Although I still think it is neat that the names of some of these places are real :p

Side-note before you read on, for humor: trying to find these threads with our famous search engine here dug up about nine pages of crap just to get this in a search in the GD area. DOH!
