Wreck, they usually say "linebacker" for all Mobile AAs.

I wouldnt feel too sorry for yourself, whoever feels like they are being individually bombed out in the open. If youre being shot, while youre on foot, in the open, its not because the jets are unbalanced. Its because the pilot is using hacks.

As for being bombed at flag caps. Well, what the hell do you expect, stupid? Cap the flag to neutral, hide for a moment, or relocate so you wont be bombed, or cant be hit by bombs, and then proceed with cappings. If youd see OPFOR minimap, not only jets turn for neutralized flags, sometimes, when theres only one flag, all APCS and tanks turn too and its a fun thing to watch.

The balance isnt off. You guys think way too linearly. You think all it should take is ONE jet, and ONE AA emplacement. A jet is superior to AA in almost any situation because of its possibility to attack from multiple angles.

Just as one AT rarely gets the tank down, and two ATs are not at a significant advantage, one AA is just to spook jets, 2 can take it down in notime. Because one acts as a decoy, a trap, and the other takes it down...

BUT! *gasp* were actually talking about TEAMWORK here, oh my god... and not points...

Why have they got jets on maps where there are little to no defences against them? So you just get an endless unrelenting dropping of bombs wrecking any sort of ground offensive. It seems so easy to fix as well. Stick some linebackers on Wake for example or give ground troops the ability to have an anti-aircraft weapon. Or even upgrade the ability of the hopeless stingers. I mean the jets outrun most of the stingers sent their way and then they just turn around and shoot/drop bombs on you before they've reloaded again. The Chinese equivalent of the linebacker is less than useless - may as well be a people killer.

I have my gripes about helicopters as well but feel you have at least a fighting chance against them.

Jets are only a way for people to stat pad & amass points quickly - they do NOTHING else to help make BF2 a better game.
live with it ! its part of the game . if you dont like go ply CS

No, why the f**k are there snipers? Artillery? Those are more valid questions, Artillery and Snipers have both ruined what teamplay there could've been in this game.

I just figure that they should change the mechanics of the AA in a later game. With real AA rockets they tend to be very large almost as big as the jet's fuseloge(sp?) and look like they intercept the planes hitting them in the middle. Then the nose seems to seperate and the pilot bails. Don't get me wrong I love jet's and I think they "work" for the time being.

Here are some suggestions for surviving against the jets:

                      1. There are actually several singer locations on Wake. If you're good you'll wait for a jet, jump on it and squeeze off a couple of stinger shots and take him/her down.

                      2. Jump in a jet yourself and shoot the son-of-a-gun down. A few missiles up his exhaust and he's toast.

                      3. If you really despise a particular pilot you can snipe or C4 the plane spawn point LOL. Wait until they jump in the jet and get comfortable and everything

The bottom line is don't just stand there and pretend jets won't do anything...you can do things to take them down. A couple of good pilots on your team should be able to keep them in check. If that's the case they'll be busy dog fighting rather than bombing.
