Whoever gets to beta.............

be it 1.4 patch, and 2142..........it wont matter.
Because each one will be so afraid to speak their mind regarding bugs, because they are afraid they wont get their dice t-shirt....or even more silly, afraid collin wont be their online friend. Thus a buggy, unbalanced game will ship.
Dice. You know what the community wants. You know how to build games. Go back and look at the final BF1942 game. Its a work of art, from the maps, the statics, to the gameplay. True rock paper deal, for sure. SO go and make that game..............and outsell all previous titles.

You need to make a slight destinction here, theres a difference between releasing a game with known bugs and one with unknown ones that show up in public that should have been cought during testing. With the known ones they can make a decision on if or how they will be fixed, not every bug reported through the beta will be fixed. Releasing a game with known bugs that were not fixed is a mgt decision, releasing one with unknown bugs that show up in public (CTD as an example) is crappy mge & test.

Then if anyone can dl it, wouldnt it just be patch 1.4, not BETA 1.4? Then the next patch would be a 1.41 or 1.5

i was thinking about that but then I thought maybe it would only be a map or two with the most bugs and the new map to test out???

Even if the 2142 beta is limited to 10-15k people, it will invariably get leaked to the public through bittorrent.
