    Why so many losers?

    Statement:

I want to win. I want it in everything in my life. So this applies to playing video games online. I want all the flags. I want the entire enemy team dead. I want MY team to win the round.

    Legit question:

Why are so many of you content on losing the round as long as you get some points?

I am still amazed to this day that there are soo many players out there who do not care if the team they are on wins or loses. I don't care what anyone says, you cannot be playing as a team and trying to accomplish the objectives of taking and holding a flag and lose by 250 points. Seriously though, don't you get tired of looking like newbie players by getting owned EVERY round? Does it not bother you to finish without even coming close to a win?

I just need some clarification on why the trend is to go all out for yourself and not apply your amazingly godlike skills in a jet or a tank or with C4 to actually help your team to win a round.

Now don't get me wrong. I want points as much as anyone, but the amazing thing is that if I just take flags and kill bad guys while doing so, I get some serious points. If I run in a group with my squad and actually TRY to win the round, the points come rolling in. It's awesome. The bonus is we often win! Incredible isn’t it?

** Yes this is all very sarcastic, but I am tired of people trying to be the lone wolf, godlike player and not doing crap to help their team. **

Even if you pay attention and say the medics are team players, most of the time you will notice they run out into the line of fire and die trying to revive. They did not make ANY effort to kill the bad guy, they just ran out for the revive score. How many times have you been killed, only to be revived and killed again in the same spot, buy the same bad guy who just killed the medic who revived you as well?

How about no one spotting armor? You spawn and die. You now know where the armor is, but you spawn somewhere else and the armor has moved. No one spotted it and there you go again dead.

It's been said a million times around here, but you guys need to get off you high points horse and try to help your teammates win. You may like the sound of a winning round once in a while. Yes, it is possible to get a 3.0 WL ratio. It is possible to not lose very other round.

** The "you" in this rant is not any one person. If you take it personal, then chances are, your one of the idiots who does not play to win. **

Why can't you seperate your statement into paragraphs, its just awkward to read.

    You have a nearly 3.0 W/L ratio.

How bout you guys take 2 seconds and realize it was obviously a posting error.

I do not know why the formatting was lost when I posted. It was fine in MS Word and something got messed up, but it is fixed now... so relax.

and yess... ES.... I have almost a 3.0 WL. I had a 3.0 for almost 6 months. It does not change my impressions nor does it make my post any less accurate. The way I play allows me to keep good numbers. It's when I venture out into unknown pub land that I see all the senselss crap like I posted. When you play with REAL players, you see a different world.

Sure thing.... any particular color? I tend to forget how perfect every post is around here and how high the bar is set to participate. I am just glad there are so many people out and about to keep the spelling and formatting of posts in line.

Thank you grammer police. You do good work.

Now, If I am really lucky, someone will actually chime in with something that relates to the discussion at hand.

I cannot agree more with you post!

It sucks when all you do is try to win a round, form a squad and do whatever it takes to get some teamwork, when half way to your target your squad is all over the place, and everyone is busy throwing nades...

I like to keep the tickets about even with the enemy team slightly lower.
makes the round last longer, i do like to win, but i enjoy getting 100+ points rounds more so.

I am right beside you brother. I love to win as well and that is how I live my life like yourself. You are a rare breed unlike the SHEEP in the world.

My small but skilled clan love the aspect of team and our scores always reflect that! Even my 64 year old father has owned many of the BF2 SHEEP who's main focus is their own score. One good squad fighting together can make or break a round.

We (*NYWW* CLAN) have all gone in to a server together with the tickets at what most would think would be ompossible odds to overcome and have turned that paticular round into a Victory for the team we joined.

This game was ment for squad and team work. Now when a commander who has no clue how to do his job has taken the helm... I want to stick him in the ribs with my knife! A good commander uses the scan EVERY time it is available and understands how to balance his support between squads.

This is just a game in know but I take it serious when I play because like you... That is how I am!!!

Lightningmaster and parish can compete who is the biggest azzhole in the world. Judging by their opinnions of the life, it's even, but then again it's a bad result because they both needs to win

Preaching to the choir here too.

I look at my stats now and then just because of the complexity of them. Gee isn't it odd just how much time I spent parachuting. That sort of thing.

I'm doubtful I'll even make First Sargent because I just can't see myself trying for 5 consecutive knife kills while I could be doing something better for the team. I've recently thought about it, but once the round starts I just can't bring myself to do it.

Winning isn't everything, and no it's not the only thing as the saying goes. But from me it's the object of the game. I'm playing to win, it's the larger more complicated and more challenging goal.

A loss is fine if you go down swinging to the last man, and learn from your mistakes.

Why do people play that way?

(Huge generalization, I know some of you squirts are awesome ;0) )

Soccer momed to death youth demographic. The fruit rollup generation mini-van riding, bicycle helmet wearing, scoreless soccer game playing, pass fail, propped up self esteem, "empowered" youth, that aint worth spit.

That could have something to do with it.

They'd rather feel good about some stupid grahpic that's not grayed out on BFS2 then help you defend a flag. It's warm and fuzzy to look at their global score increase after every night. Taking it in the teeth time and time again and respawning to fight off a tank but keep a spawn doesn't interest them. It's too hard and "not fair". Gotta tell them they did "real good" every other second with some sort of point or reward, otherwise they may feel like failures when failing. God forbid that should happen.

I hate times new roman, it's just a pain to read it, plz just post with reg font. Anyways, think logically, the only guys that realy 'want' to win is commanders, they got double points, the rest of players don't really care that much, they get points, they're content. Tell me a good reason why they should want to win so much besides to get some badge that says i have more wins than losses. I'm not saying this is me, but most playersdon't really care about winning a round, as long as they have fun, and get points, they are happy enough.

So let me get this right... I'm an a$$hole because I like to win? My teammates enjoy the support of someone who actually helps them accomplish a goal and that's bad?

Is there something wrong with being a winner? I guess maybe if I were looking out through the slit in the burger re-heat trays at McDonalds, I might be jaded like you. Alas, I have a good income, 2 beautiful daughters and a smoking hot wife. I guess having nice things and being successful is a bad thing to someone in your station of life.

Also note, winning in BF2 has nothing to do with getting laid. That happens anytime I want it and is the benefit of all the other things I do in the real world. I don't spend time "punching the clown" in the bedroom with the lights off to the soft glow of internet porn as you do.
