Im pretty good. I hit 90% of the things when I aim with a TV. I take down things that I am not even lined up for. I would say im pretty good. Nothing amazing but pretty good. I flew you around Churrasco. FlyinDaggers.

most of gunners who brags about their skill do these claims because they own pubbers on maps without adequate AA [im great, i went 50-0 on sharqi! yaaay!].
ive seen many 'good' gunners and pilots on dragon valey - they vere raping my team until i've finaly got my hands on the pzg - and you know what? they died one by one, many times in a row. bacause macroed tgvm that can turn on dime isnt enough when oposition can fire back reliably. automagic tricky barel rolls do nothing to stop the stream of bullets pzg delivers. and i know how to aim it, how to hide myself and how to make sure chopper team is going to pay for killing me

raping helpless grunts realy doesnt make anyone good gunner. however i know many gunners [myself included] capable ofl missing a non moving tank..

and about tvgm macros - difference betwen using it and not using it is SO HUGE that i realy cant believe that somebody who tried it stopped using it

I tried it and stopped using it because it was pointless. I missed more with it and it ruined my three click rule.

I'm one of the best, that's for sure.

Now would I stand a chance against people using these so called "TV macros"? Probably not. I TV the way it was meant to be...with hand eye coordination and a great pilot, not with some missile scripts or cheats.

i usually dont gun, i love to pilot.....and hitting those TV shots require a decent pilot, and some communication...

whenever i have a gunner, i tend to do the aiming for him/her for their chaingun...

i mostly fly solo anyway, and never jump to the gunner seat in-flight......

What is the point of soloing then? Without seatswitching or a gunner all you can do is fire rockets. Pointless in my opinion.

I just played heli gunner for a while today. To my surprise, the pilot was as n00b as myself.

pointless? i can kill just about anything with those rockets, in few shots.....

i can usually take out infantry in 1-2, stingers, IGLA, TOW, in maybe 3, and any tank, APC, vodnik, hummer whatever with little effort.....(unless its all at once)

i think its fun....and if i do manage to find a gunner.....then its all over

I played with him yesterday, took him out a couple of times, he spawn rapes alot, thats how he gets all those points, if hes doing infantry then hes dolphin diving and stuff

its fun playing against him tho

I know some people who are way way way better then him

Hi y'all...

I see a lot of people claiming to be "teh top gunner" or similar self boosting things...

Mowing people with the chaingun requires few skill, so I'll consider the TV-M a better indicator of one's gunning skills. Since I am more of a pubber, this limits a lot my point of view, but I've seen not much people that use TV-M in a way I say "ZOMG, this guy is the best".

Namely, they are: kojimab (ranked 2nd, and probably the best in pubs), some folks from the FHM clan, and the F|D clan. I've had quite a few guys that could repeatedly knock me off the sky, making me bang my head in frustation like them.

Pwn them and you are a great gunner (at least for me)

dude is it me or are most people on that server weak, I played on it the other day and I was doing really good, I was in top 5 every round and it was all by piloting and gunning, a great gunner for me is someone who can hit a target while his pilot is rolling and a great pilot for me is someone who can line up their gunner while rolling, thats what my friend and I did last night, we pwned everyone till kojimab came in and started spawn raping

well he is good I must say that but hes not as good as some other people I know and I heard hes using that macro thjing so yea

I don't know if I'm a crappy shot or I've been stuck with crappy pilots. I'm sure it's both at times. Either way, I know for some reason I'm a bad shot with a gun that shoots bullets faster then a humming bird flaps its wings. Seems like I just outline the guy when I shoot at him. I guess on the bright side, I kill the h#ll out of some dirt/buildings.

Let me elaborate on the above. I was refering to the BH side gunner postion. I'm really good at the nose gunner spot on the attack choppers.

Whenever I log onto that FHM server, the US is getting baseraped to all hell (I mean everytime, and I've tried it over 50 times). So I'll pass on that server.

im sick of getting the gunner seat....and being bitched out by some noob pilot who cant line anything up, and flies right past AA.....

i was playing wake.....and i noticed a squad leader in the attack heli, so i join, and spawn on him.......he instantly throws a hissy fit, and screams for me to get out......so i dont

he flies right past the AA.....i keep my gun on it trying to take it out as we pass, then he stops at the flag, and turns enough so i can just barely get a shot at the AA, and i see a guy run into it, he hits us with one shot, and i kill him.....then the pilot whines that i didnt get him soon enough, and now he has to repair.....so now he's whining that im not shooting anything as we approach the AA again, and i begin firing on it ONCE AGAIN and he tells me not to just shoot randomly, to shoot at something, in a very condecending tone.......thats when i had enough....i tell this fool (in text, as i didnt have a mic) that i can tell hes a noob pilot, and to stop talkin **** and calling me noob......telling him he really doesnt know how to line me up for anything, he just flies by....and doesnt realise that AA if the first thing to shoot.....he then started crying like a bitch so i left the server and choppateered Sharqi

ppl blame their gunners when they themselves dont line up a shot, and/or fly around the map like its a jet

It's an unfortunate truth that the main clientele of FHM 24/7 Dalian is predominantly moderate to highly skilled players looking for points: if the USMC team can't get good helos and planes in the air, the PLA will baserape them in no time. I used to play there, but they've been lagging a lot lately...

I definatly fly much better than I gun. TVGMs are tough due to my sad framerates.

I fly well tho.
I rarely fly without a gunner. Even a noob.

I can say as a pilot, I love a good gunner. Not just one that can spank a chopper from the other side of the map, but one that knows how to assess threats, communicate well, and antisipate the pilot.

It's a joy to fly with a gunner like that.
