a nother trick is to put 3 very visible mines in a row, and leave a little space to the right or left. the tank/apc will go round it, but you have placed a fourth mine a little further back. Boom slam on. always works, strange enough. and the 3 in a row mine streak also kills noobs in vehicles very effectively.

I usually place mines under shadows on the road, not sure if this is any good for people not running high detail, but it seems to get me a lot of kills.

Other places I use are dips in the road and brows of hills etc - basically anywhere it is hard to spot mines until too late.

One other tactic I use is to place a mine in a blatant spot, so the driver will see it, then hide the rest of the mines around locations he is likely to drive, in order to avoid the first mine.

Using mines is my substitute for no longer being able to stick C4 in obscure places :)

Daqing, first flag directly south of the Chinese uncap. Place the mines right after the bridge. Works best if US caps the flag, just run up and keep placing mines there.

yea, Daqing is nice (dark terrain). Mine @ entrances in center flag (forget the name) beetwen these big oil tanks.

My fav mine spot is on kubra dam, at the bottom base (intake). Mines placed just over the lip of the 3 incoming roads. Enemy cars and armour come screaming in there and BOOM, where on the way to vet explosives badge

If tanks/APCs are spawning in "garages" (i.e. Zatar) its a nice idea to put a mine if front of it or under so driver cannot avoid it. If enemy takes flag and enters vehicle... BOOM! easy kill :) But, of course, server must have explosive friendly fire turned off.

thats true but, a lot of times people tend to drive down there at 100mph and dont stop until its to late especcialy humvee drivers + even if they see them the ammount of nad spamming around that area means knowones getting out there ride to pick the mines up

behind the train tracks on Karkand is a good spot, you can never see it until its too late.

.. or between the tracks, or in the grass nearby

My favourite trick with mines is to put one and just one mine to so obvious place like in the middle of the road with nothing extra to hide it. Works like charm :laugh:

Other good trick is nearby some flag to find a place in the road where some small rocks are located. Then just add one more "rock" to the pile. Kaboom.."U killed. xxx...

This is not exactly a specific location, but a placement issue nonetheless...
I like to place my mines in triangles...this gives two layers of defense they have to get through for instance.....



Or a diamond will work for tighter spots....

Don't forget that your mines can destroy helicopters too, so enemy helipads and good spots for helicopters to land (like in Mashtuur City when you're the USMC; it's almost certain the MEC chopper is going to come to the gas station). Also another really good spot I heard from these forums is over the enemies' mines.
