This is why I really don't feel back for these guys when I hear about people downloading games for free on those P2P programs.

You should feel bad if for no other reason than the cost to the game companies gets passed on to you in the price of your store bought game.

not at all. if it's too expensive I just don't buy it. eventually the price will come down. but maybe if they made quality products I would. why should I pay $50 or $60 for a game that is half assed? I don't blame the people who DL games. If I was younger with a min wage job I sure as hell wouldn't want to spend $50 on a game only to find out it's full of problems.

It's not hard to find the tutorial. Also, everything you need to make it you can get for free (Alcohol 120% trial and DAEMON Tools).

Yes copy protection is a pain in the ass only for those people who legitimately bought the game (it doesn't slow down pirates at all) but that's another argument for another time :p

If I couldn't do this I wouldn't have played BF2 much, I hate key-disc protection.

Someone downloading the game doesn't cost the game company anything. Chances are that person was never going to buy the game anyway so counting it as a loss is retarded.
Unfortunately, game companies want to charge as much as they can for games so they claim that piracy is causing them to lose way more sales than it actually is so we get rammed by this false logic.

It really annoys me when software publishers try to use that logic for "lost sales". It's even more true with more expensive non-game software; most people who pirate would not have bought that software if piracy was not possible. They would use free or lower-cost alternatives.

I'm not sure whether there are different procedures in different countries, but EA replaced my broken disc with cost of one stamp. I mailed my broken disk to our local EA office, few days later new disc arrived on my mail.

As I said earlier, I called them first explane what happened and also added this information together with broken disc. I'm just guessing but my opinnion is that because their policy is not allowing to make legal copies, their warranty covers user damages for limited time.

Folks read the warranty statement in game manual, it is valuable information.
