I play BF2 like 3 mounths maybe and the version was 1.0, so I wanted
to patch it.
i downloaded patch v1.3 and I installed it and when i tryed to play the game
the screen became black and there was a notice:
have u got a 9200 or 9250 ATI graphics Card ?
if so there have been problems with these card since patch 1.12 or 1.2 i think
also did u get the Full 1.3 patch thats 415mb ?
yeah i think the min spec for Nvidia cards changed to fx5700 after the 1.2/1.3

If u do get another Graphics Card i would recommend you get at least a nvidia 6600
Well you should upgrade it regardless, but try someone elses first to make sure its your graphics card - otherwise you could have a nice shiny new graphics card but something else could be the issue.
Actually, while youre at it, you need twice the amount of ram as well. In fact, what are your specs?
Well from what i know your all worng. Here are my Computer specs
AMD 64+Bit
512Megs of DDR memory
and a Nvida GeForce FX 5200 Ultra with 128megs of ram
I run BF2 fine with out any errors so from what i can tell from programing is that who ever is haveing the errors from that screen shot it looks as either you dont have the newest video driver because video drivers make a differnce in the game because i play the game just fine i have no probloms at all. goto www.nvida.com and download the newest graphics drivers and install them. If that still doesnt work you may need to get a better card idk but i run the game just fine. the error says Microsoft Visual C++ (C++) is a computer programing languge for those that dont know and Visual works with VB aka Visual Basics so theres gotta be a video error somewhere either his card isnt good enogh or he just needs new drivers idk but theres my help on this topic.

1GB is pretty much essential to run BF2 at any respectable speed. You can do it with 512MB, but it loads and plays like a dog. Thats a fact. And your graphics card, like the person who started this thread, is scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of its capability to play the game. I would hate to see what it looks like. If I were either of you, I would scrounge, beg and borrow to upgrade my graphics card and ram. It wouldnt cost a lot to see a marked difference in how the game runs.
the problem not only with patch 1.3,
i installed sf and it patched 1.1.
then i tryed to play and it did the same problem..
