Its a shame though we cant use the RPG. i would love it as a wepon you could unlock. so simple aim and shoot and it leaves no smoke trail which gives armor a tough time at spotting you

It is realistic to use them against infantry:
In 2004, Lockheed Martin received a contract to refit all remaining Predators to SRAW-MPV (Multi-Purpose Variant) configuration with a new multi-purpose blast-fragmentation warhead. This will convert the missile from an anti-armour to a direct-fire urban warfare weapon, which better fulfills the current needs of the USMC.

OMG. AT is a hoot! I started playing sniper (ghost recon flashbacks) but I couldn’t get a head shot if I stepped up to the guy and planted one in his ear. So I played assault but got tired of hiding from vehicles and air boys. I became the hated Jihad specialist but my timing on the jump outs needing improving and I was a rolling bomb for anyone who could plant a shot on my charges. Then I read this thread and the world made sense.

So last night, I got onto a server (MOW) that was rotating thru most of the maps. I started playing AT and I had too much fun. I stuck around flags near the “front” and waited for the smarty pants that come running around the edge of the fight with a jeep and try to cap a flag. BOOM! I couldn’t miss. Once in a while a tank would break thru and try to cap. BOOM! Duck. Run to the next spot. BOOM!. Tankers can be very two dimensional. I’d stand on a roof and pop them. Then while I was reloading I’d laugh as I watched the turret spin around in circles trying to find me. Then BOOM! Again right in the kisser. Helicopter pilots would do the same. I’d stand right below them as they hovered and BOOM!. They’d spin in place trying to find me and I’d reload in plain sight right below them and then BOOM! Again.

Snipers? No problem. I’d get clipped down to two bars and find a medic while I listened for their pop guns. By the time I’d healed I would localize the guy and BOOM! from 150 meters. Crane shots were the most fun.

Where's the love for the RPG-7 in Special Forces? This is definately the weapon to be reckoned with, especially for Surge and Mass Destruction as the Rebels. In Surge, I've managed to kill off 6 tanks, 3 AA vehicles, and a few FAV's/civilian vehicles in ONE round, which I earned a veteren AT badge. No smoke trail and no klaxon alarms ringing off from any vehicle though you have to aim high since there is a rocket drop.

I used to suck big time playing AT, getting a 0.65 K/D ratio. Thanks to Secrets of Battlefield, I managed to get a ratio of 1.00 in a matter of a couple months. I use them to knock out any vehicle, sniper, proned soldier, and chopper.

The RPG-7 is my favorite AT weapon by far. I load up SF:Warlord, just to launch rockets at tanks/people. It reminds me of my dear olf RTCW:ET Panzerfaust, but with arc.

Well done nice post to the orig poster. I try to stay away from the DAO though, I find that I have much more luck with the p90, plus it ****es people off when they get owned by a peashooter. A peashooter that when in full auto spits out 40 bullets like nobodys momma.

On 32 player Karkand, near the train wreck and the market. If you go up the ramp from the wreck, then go left, there's a ladder. go up that roof, then sprint jump across the gap between that building and the one in front of you. Kinda hard to make the jump, 60% of the time I smack the ground and die. Anywy, if you make it, you have a view of the alley below you (the one through the hole in the fence from the market), the TOW missile at the market, and some market spawn points. Also, you have a view of the road leading to the train wreck. It's good for intercepting troops and tanks coming to the wreck and taking out trooops at the market (some call it spawncamping but it' not that severe). Some people have undoubtedly found this but it's a really good spot.

It's simply pure pleasure, when you AT guy get ambushed, then without aiming you turn around, send a rocket into you foe, blow him off and up. All ends in a second. Such style.......

Actually, Dao-12 is a handy weapon. Just try to engage enemy as close as possible. So you'd better fight in a building, or stick around corners.

The shotgun is a hugh advantage when fighting someone within 10m. The ENGs have no armour. But ATs do. Use you Dao-12 wisely, you can drop 3 or 4 ppl without loading.

Well, slow loading speed is such a pain........

I absolutely pwn sharqi as an AT. Pop around a corner, pow pow pow with my Dao. See a sniper on the roof? Send a rocket his way. Oh you're trying to shoot me through my body armor? Here's a SRAW for you. Tank incoming? Fire off the tow followed by an SRAW for good times.

yes, sharqui is the best map for at. at the beginning of the round as USMC, i run to the front waall and pick off the snipers and spec ops running on the hill. thats after i take out the t-90 and any vodniks

                          Re: Anti-Tank Addicts Anonymous Meeting

Best kill streak I've ever had was running to Hotel from Square in Karkand, and I ran down the ally under the arch. As i did someone spawned, and I DAO-12'ed them, then the next spawned, capped him as well. Just then another two spawned, and I tossed my kit in favour of a dead guys and lo and behold it was an AT's kit withthe PP-19.

I did this about 4 times in a row and each kit I picked up was an AT kit. So i got a seriously high AT score, and IIRC it was when I got my VET AT badge. (or was it basic?) Anyway, eventually I had a gap where I could disengage and ran up to the flag, only to be grenaded to death by the first people I'd killed spawning again.

                          Was tweiffic.

I rarely use the AT to kill people (I'm rarely AT) but I do sometimes... I don't like to, I like knowing that one single bullet went into their head and out the other side... and I'm among those who hate being taken out by a SRAW and curse/complain/bitch/etc...

But the OP was awesome to read

well.. AT kit is definately one of the best. however with one huge flaw - no grenades. all other classes have them, and the class that needs it the most does not. i dont understand it, but anyway..

RPG is the best, once you get good with it no infantry stands a chance. it reloads fast [no need to wait for impact afaik], leaves subtle [but still visible!] trail and is equal in damge to sraw/eryx. it completly rule mass destruction - if one knows how to do it you can take out tanks in two hits no prob, and bmp's sometimes in ONE hit [if they bump and damage themselves a bit], with no chance of firing back

AT is almost the only [besides engineer, but he gets sooo looow points] choice form AF maps [which rock], and only there you can see that one AT is no threat to good tanker, but two or more.. absolute armour decimation

new unlocks and some smg love helped AT class considerably - p90 is great at low/med distances, dao12 rocks as we all know. stock smgs are not that bad either, especialy pp19.

in my last 25hrs of play i spent over 20 as AT, and it was great, i pity that there are so few support guys on AF maps...
