I hate commanders who take the tank and just sit in it and command so they can get their tank hours up. See it more then you think. I was Commander once but all my team did was sit on the damn carrier waiting for the heli or F35, then they ended up dieing as J10's etc attacked the carrier.

So I was commander and decided to do something about it, so I hopped in a boat, went round to the PLA airfield, used UAV to help myself navigate, racked up 8 kills in a row, capped the flag, moved down capped another flag. End of the round we won and I had like 24/1.

Another time on Sharqi, was commander team wasn't doing much, half my team was in the crane Sniping, the other half were tking each other for the chopper, So the USMC got the bottom flag, but I used UAV to my ability, got 30ish kills with the shotty, and a couple of deaths, but defended the flag constantly and won.

Even though commanders shouldn't use vehicles, I don't anyway. I don't mind commanders participating in battle if the team is an obvious in losing.

Yes, I see how you feel zipp0r, but commanders should focus solely on commanding and not anything else. If I saw you in a tank while being commander I would have asked you to get out and then tked you if you refused.

O yeah, and also, USARanger, how did you only manage to get like 53 points for 53 kills? You must have gotten a crap load of teamkills.......a LOT......

When I command, lets take Kark for example, as a commander, I go and take their main base first (with the help of a few others, those who are npt hungry for points and don't stay at the hotel place spamming the hell out of everything), once we do, I take one of the enemies tanks/APCs ad keep it, to protect the taken base, I destroy all their assets, and stop enemies from taking the base back and command at the same time.

They have enough tanks and APC's. It's much safer for me as a commander, I can fight the enemie, command, and stay alive.

i would have happily given up commanding ( i did want the tank tho :p, then at least i could go kill loads instead of defending half the map from the odd car or tank). i guess its just asshats that think commander in tank, not doing his job, when i blatently was

Fighting while commander = bad for your team. I don't care what anyone says, you can't be commanding to your fullest potential whilst killing people in a tank (which your team could be using to greater effect).

perhaps your team jus didnt like u depriving them of their chance to use the tank. perhaps the guy that use at on u wanted to get the tank but u didnt want to give him.

if no one is commander and you need supplies then be commander - give yourself supplies and resign or get out of the tank.

yup, its a gd and effective way to scare commanders out of their tank or plane. :) jus say :'thats against the ROE' and woot! they run out and away from the tank!

I have seen "passive" commanders (where all they do is command) SUCK so much at commanding..

Today I was playing china on wake and our commander got kicked for arty the carrier. Well US had no flags so I thought "what the hell I will apply as I am quite bored". So apply I do and I get commander. Now as I was at the beach I thought I would like to be at the airfield so I grabbed an empty jeep and off I drive. So I drive to the airfield and hunker down, as I prepare to send out my first UAV in the top corner of the screen is the message:
"Kicking Tokenbrit - Commanders must not be in vehicles"

roe cant enforce their ****e rules on the servers i play on.

besides... i was in a vehicle, but i was still commanding, being more helpful than half the idiots that normally command. their so called rule is because people go in a plane and fly and not do any commanding at all.
