Well,

I will opening admit that i totally suck at the game, But i do follow instructions well and i do attempt to play at my best!

For example yesterday while playing i was told to hang back and watch one of the flags that where way away from the action, not fond of it as well to be honest kind of hard to get a score when there is nothing to shoot at! But what ever i did, Grabbed the sniper gear and found a comfy place and sat there, Listened to some music bored out of my mind. Well people where spawning.. i was being told off as i was not doing anything.. i advised them i was instructed to do this and they still insulted!

Finally about 10 Min's later I'm all alone and a APC hulls up to our Flag everyone ways miles away!! I called for backup and over about a 2 min span i was able to pick off all 3 players in the APC. Weird as its only a game but it was a exciting feeling!

Heh, nice. Keep in mind though, that the commander has a lot on his plate, and it is not out of line to ask him if he wants you to stay there and defend still or move on. A lot of times commanders get caught up in UAV, arty, SCAN, supplies and the like and kinda forget what orders they have given. Keep in mind as well that you may get idiot commanders that issue no orders, only have UAV up at their location, and constantly fight and die instead of command.

Ego trip, nothing else it is what you do.

If you having fun in your helo, thats ok. But how about you give other ppl. the bird when you were shut down!?

cause by the time i die, there bored of waiting for the chopper. and super awesome ppl like me dont make the game gayer, we are the game cause were like super awesome and stuff.

I dont even mind the same people in the choppers... But When you seen 5 people spawn and you rush out to get the chopper ( transport one ) atleast pick up the other 4 people!!!

i have spawned to see some dickwad running for the chopper and i yell that i need a ride and he jumps in and takes off with out anyone.. what the point??? The chopper is useless with out gunners! All they do is fly around.. i have no issues with the same people getting the choppers if they are giving the air support needed and transporting poeple where they need to go.

i always play as a sniper and go to opposing teams airfield, do this if u want 50+ easy respawning kills, helps if u have a m95 to shoot heli guys-doesnt work that well on a carrier but on open grassy/desert lands it works a dream

i always play as a sniper and go to opposing teams airfield, do this if u want 50+ easy respawning kills, helps if u have a m95 to shoot heli guys-doesnt work that well on a carrier but on open grassy/desert lands it works a dream

I do not agree with this either, I mean if you are only killing the morons sitting around waiting for a Chopper or Jet to Spawn, But i had one server where every single time i spawned i was killed instantly!!!

step2ice. There is nothing wrong with excelling at one aspect of the battlefield that you enjoy. There is skill involved in all aspects of this game. Practice of course makes everyone better at anything!

On a public it is.
We all paid our 50 bucks for BF2.
So I can't see the point in giving away the planes to those ppl. who are willing to camp airfields and to those with the fastet i-net connection.

Of course, just standing around at an airfield for ten minutes doing nothing certainly is pretty lame. I typically just stay away from airfields for this very reason. I fly decently well, but there are plenty of people that think its the only thing you can do in this game. They need to branch out and try some other things. As you mentioned, thats what make the game great as well. There are so many things to do and try and excel in. Everyone finds their niche, but its good to be flexible too.

If you have to find you niche in BF you don't understand the game.
You may be better in driving a tank than in shooting at a sniper with a pistol, ok.
But that don't gives you the right to call yourself a tank driver.
Things in BF are so easy to control because they can be controlled by everyone.

If you want to be a pilot, play a flight simulator or join the air force.
But don't ruin a teamplay based fun action game by misinterpreting the idea behind BF.

And to make it clear, I'm speaking of public servers here where everyone has the same rights.

Have your claims and rules on your own personal little server, I don't care.

Ignore the bitches. I hear you. Once in awhile the "mood" of the server can get nasty like that and people think throwing themselves into the meat grinder is how to play the game best. Then someone like you saves the flag and no one on your team will know. They're idiots. They'll make good marines (they brag about how many in their units die during actions in REAL LIFE- wouldn't how many live and how many you kill be a better measure?)

Anyway, as someone who often goes to cap unguarded flags behind the lines, I appreciate someone like you who has their head about them and sees this as a game involving more than simply tactics, but strategy and overall points as well. I admit, I play to disrupt and hurt the other team as much as possible... and that means I try to win. Good on you being a player trying to keep the other team from doing so.

BTW - probably the two most enjoyable things in this game, for me, are:
1) Shooting down attack helos with anti-tank rockets.
2) Sniping pilots as they're running & hopping to "their" airplanes. Or watching them ragdoll after the claymore I placed at the front wheels goes off.
